Re: Help with Starting Problems
I forgot to reply months ago, but I figured out my problem. It was a combination of a stuck open fuel injector, sea foam, and bad gas. I siphoned out the old gas, and replaced it with new. I was able to get it started, but it ran terrible. I was at a loss. So, I took it to local garage. They thought...

Video https://goo.gl/photos/dcdrcXabRPdJow8h8 I swapped the fuel rails, injectors, and ECU from 93 Legacy NA Auto. The car has run great up until the last couple of months. It still runs great, but can be really hard/impossible to start if it sits for a few days. I noticed white smoke from exhaust u...

Re: Help with Starting Problems
Legacy decided to start today. CEL is constantly on while driving car with Black Connectors Connected. If I turn off car, and turn ignition to on, I get code for Cam Sensor. The last time car was running, the CEL was blinking code while I was driving car with Black Connectors connected. I tried conn...

Re: Help with Starting Problems
Would Throttle Position Sensor cause intermittent starting problems?
I found a Cam Sensor from a 93 Legacy, and swapped it into my car, and I still can't get it started.
Very frustrating!

Re: Help with Starting Problems
Last night charged battery overnight, and today the car started on first turn.
I runs great, and doesn't have any codes. I disconnected & reconnected the cam sensor just to make sure it was making a good connection.

1991 Legacy Cam Sensor
Hello, I have been having intermittent problems getting my 1991 Legacy Started. Some days it starts and drives, but most days it won't start. It seems like the days I have time to trouble shoot, are the days it starts without a problem. I currently can't get it started. I get CEL Code for Cam sensor...

Re: Help with Starting Problems
I did have battery tested, and its good. It will really crank the starter. I only have to charge it, after trying repeatedly to start car. I have a multi-meter and can read basic schematic. I'm not sure exactly what to look for. Will code 12 cause the ecu to lock out the car because of improper star...

Re: Help with Starting Problems
There isn't any evidence of tampering with my ignition, but they might have pulled on wires trying to reach behind stereo. Everything looks intact, but after the break in . The horn wouldn't work. I noticed the horn worked when the car wouldn't start, but stopped working when the car was running. St...

Re: Horn Problems
The turn signal/wiper stalk is not damaged. My car is 1991 and doesn't have airbags to my knowledge. My next step is to disassembly the steering wheel and examine parts.
I thought I would check here first. The people on this site have been incredibly helpful, in helping me to repair my car.

Plastic Dashboard Replacement parts (Help finding & Naming)
Somebody tried to steal the Stereo from my 1991 Legacy Wagon, and broke some of the plastic pieces that surround the stereo, and parts of dash. Under Dash Light mounting Help?
This light has been hanging down from my dash for about a year. I installed a new CElL today, and thought I would be able to figure out where it mounts, but I didn't have any luck. Does anyone know where to mount this light. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b260/none77/20150525_1716431_zps2b6lbovm....

Re: 91 Legacy ECM, Fuel Rail,Injectors Swap from 92 Lega
I found some pictures online of the IAC valve, and I removed it when I was taking the TPS. I have the IAC valve from 92, but it looks the same as the one currently on my 91. Is it different internally, or should I just swap it? I worry that everything plastic and rubber is fragile on cars this old. ...

Re: 91 Legacy ECM, Fuel Rail,Injectors Swap from 92 Lega
My 1991 Legacy is Automatic. The 92 I took the ECU from was Automatic. Do I need to solder or clip ECU? I'm such a noob, I don't even know where the IAC valve is located. I still have access to the 92, but it's over an hour away. I'm planning to go back and remove tow hitch. I could get teh IAC vavl...

91 Legacy ECM, Fuel Rail,Injectors Swap from 92 Lega
Hello Everyone!! I'm super excited that I finally found a 1992 Legacy that was being parted out. I got ECU, Fuel rails and injectors. I have read lots of posts about doing this. I noticed a couple of the posts mention swapping connectors for injectors. To my untrained eye, the connectors on the Red ...
