WTB: '93 power steering pump

Need one soon. The one in the wife's car is making a horrible squeal, first thing in the morning. Fluid is fine, belt is brand new, methinks it's the pump itself.

Need a shipped price to 32205. Thx!

Re: Name my shop!

They text that's hard to read on the card on the picture actually has a foil overlay to it. It pops a lot more.

And I already bought vanitydetailing.com, but my web designer is kinda turtle-ing along. He's also my best man in my wedding, so I can't get too mad. :D

"Instalz" looks very juvenile and uneducated. It tells your potential clients that same thing... juvenility and lack of education. Not that you are, and not discrediting your work... but business is all about image. It's all about what people think of you, before they even come to you. Hen...

Re: Best budget/junkyard brake setup?

Even with the SVX m/c and wagon prop valve, the balance was still front heavy with WRX brakes?

And if I ended up getting WRX brakes, what SS lines do I need? Legacy or WRX?

Best budget/junkyard brake setup?

My budget is about $500 for everything. The car is a '93 L AWD, 4eat, non-ABS. I wish I could afford the 4/2 setup, or even Brembos, but, I cook for a living, so money's tight. ;) The car is being transformed from a completely stock car, to being built to the absolute limit of the STX class rules, f...

Suicidal crank pulley...

The guy I got the car from, had done a shadetree repair on the main pulley, when he changed the timing belts. This led to a minor wobble in the pulley. It wasn't a big deal, until last night... The crank pulley doesn't spin anymore, even with the motor running. None of the accessories are spinning e...

Re: Gear Heads help me out...

Low compression... i.e., the apex seal springs are on their way out, and the oil seals are probably on their way out too. Motor will need a rebuild soon. I've had 13 RX-7's... and easily twice as many motors... I'm all-too-experienced when it comes to diagnosing problems on rotary motors.

Re: Ordered a New Car

My closest-to-new-car purchase was when I was a senior in high school, in 1998... I bought a "Triple Black" 1996 Chevy Impala SS... CASH. I walked into the Chevy dealership, and the sales guy said, "what can I help ya with, son?" I said, "first of all, y'er not my dad, so do...

Re: Best springs for Auto X

From my experience as an autoX instructor... it's typically not the car that needs the work... it's the driver. Sure, I've had students that have had EXTREMELY modified cars, and they're classed WAY beyond their ability, but fine tuning a car is an absolute art. My personal favorite, as a general se...

Re: woot legacy video

I gotta say, that you'll have WAY more control of the car, by driving with both hands on the wheel. Driving one-handed is the biggest thing I have to un-teach my students at autoX. Not that the driving wasn't done decently, but it could have been WAY faster, and more fluid, with BOTH HANDS ON THE WH...
