Re: Legacy Harness Cutting and Master Wiring Diagram
the rare earth magnets have been tried... they didnt work to well so the Wheel of Death Seems to do the job well. Looks like Ill cut the SMJ now. I will be using the vw starter as well. I have a high torque starter as well so it shouldnt be too bad. Ill be using a Kennedy Engine Adapter which replac...

Re: Legacy Harness Cutting and Master Wiring Diagram
Thanks for the help on hosting as you have an email now :) Im essentially extracting everything in terms of the engine from the whole loom. No Im not on drugs I swear. I take it the starter interlock is what disables the cranking of the engine if not in either Park, Neutral, or the clutch being depr...

Re: Legacy Harness Cutting and Master Wiring Diagram
Thanks for the heads up man. I don't know exactly where and how to extract aspects of information on here but I'm heading there now. The harness I got included the Mar igniter chip and the boost bits, they look a little used but they look like they will work. Most people just unravel the hole loom. ...

Legacy Harness Cutting and Master Wiring Diagram
So this is proabably going to be one of the weirdest posts ever, but you guys know these cars and engines so well... its kinda creepy, but in a good way. So Im trying to transplant the ej22t engine into an old vw, maybe you guys have seen some of my other questions but there is little support for su...

Re: High Output Coil Confusion
so the orientation due to the reversing of the manifold would not affect this as long at the coils are inline with the engine

High Output Coil Confusion
Hey guys, I have the high output coil from dodge and Chrysler cars. Its not the stock ej22 coil. Its cylinder designation is 1 4 |--| 2 3 Looking on the internets They have it designated as 3 4 |--| 1 2 shown by this http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/5290/cylinderdiagramjg9.jpg Im a little confused...

Re: ECU/Piggyback, Injector, and MAF questions
What are the benefits to running a td-05 over a stock vf11 on a stock car? I'm assuming higher boost when you can afford injectors tune and maf but something like sooner boost or quicker response etc?

Re: injector upgrade?
any info on where or how I can get these pink injectors back up to snuff?
Im pretty sure I need all new gaskets. The fuel filters most likely need to be cleaned as well.

Re: ej22t and ej22 oil pan compatability
Ive heard and read that they seem to have a problem with fracturing leading to loss in oil pressure resulting in spun bearings, these may be more common on ej20s though if I am mistaken. vrg3, Ive also been looking over your threads extensively, seems I found this site like 6 years late sadly due to...

Re: ej22t and ej22 oil pan compatability
Let me explain myself. Im a car guy, but they happen to be old school VWs. My reason for asking is that their is usually some sort of turbo drain that goes back to the oil sump but Im assuming the ej22t's do this through the block and not the oil pan. I want to accomplish something similar to this h...

Re: injector upgrade?
got an AWIC ready. I think what I will do is stay stock for now, go ahead an give the engine the attention it needs and then go from there once the engine is running again. seems like I missed some cooll tuning stuff, now that revtronix is gone, Vikash is no longer doing his scanner tool, and Rob Tu...

Will these even fit the stock 22t intake manifold?

injector upgrade?
Hey guys, this may be a newb question but I'm usually a carburated kind of guy. I know a little about injectors etc and that stock ej22t injectors are 330cc. My question is is that I know I will eventually want to mod this engine, not a full race engine, but delta cams, slightly larger turbo, rob tu...

ej22t and ej22 oil pan compatability
Long story short, my 22t is back home and there is a NA 22 sitting in a junk yard here. I need to modify the oil pan to make it shorter but also need to add capacity similar to what cosworth does on their oil pans, so I'm going to chop and weld it.
Will a oil sump from an ej22 work on an ej22t?

Re: Reverse Intake Manifold EJ22T
Im trying to find the material for it and going to be doing some tests on it to see if this laser cutter can even cut it... it would take some time. This material is damn expensive! As for making a set for phase 1 dohc, if you can scan your manifold (not the gasket) on a scanner at 300dpi, I can cad...

Re: Reverse Intake Manifold EJ22T
Hmmmm if i can find suitable material and can process it right in our laser cutter I could make some spares just can't use this acrlic as it will melt warp crack and fog with gas hitting it. Grimmspeeds charging 80 damn bucks for these... mine has a little more material around it and needs some mino...

Re: Reverse Intake Manifold EJ22T
see thats the thing... The IAC Kind gets in the way of things if I wanted to mount it where the AC compressor goes. I think I can reasonably fit where the powersteering went but theres no bracket made by a company that I know of. I was hoping that the Phenolic spacers would give me the clearance to ...
