FS: 1992 Subaru Legacy L, AWD - Vermont
1992 Subaru Legacy L, AWD 94,450 miles Bunch of photos here: http://imgur.com/a/WwxWK ** Note: two exhaust pics of car on lift were examples I found that I was using for generating ideas. Exhaust does still need to be installed ** Asking $1,250 I've got about $1,200 in recent parts into it. Runs and...

Re: what type of oil do u use
FWIW ... my "other" car is a 2008 tacoma with the filter top mounted. When I change my filters they come off full. But I only ever use OEM filters from the dealer on all my vehicles. So presumably the Toyota filter is anti-drainback or they have some other mechanism in there keeping my fil...

Re: dullers' 92 Legacy L -build log- (project "fun 2nd car")
From what I'm reading here , these should work. Headed to the salvage yard this weekend to find me some. Only thing I'm confused on is the 18mm from an outback. Impreza outback? Legacy outback? Both? For 1992 non-turbo Legacy AWD: Rear 95-99 outback: 18mm 91-94 legacy turbo: 18mm Front 02-07 Impreza...

Re: input on my 2.2 N/A custom exhaust idea
I'm not at all disputing your guys' solid input here... I've had a decent experience with this setup once before. I put about 20,000 miles on my 22re (inline 4, 2.2L) 1995 Toyota Pickup with that same muffler, cat, custom piping and an aftermarket header. The sound was decent. Price was good. I don'...

Re: input on my 2.2 N/A custom exhaust idea
here's a good shot of the differences: EJ25 on the left (the impreza) EJ22 on the right (our legacy) http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/74/ej20vsej22header.jpg if you can find some stock 2.5 headers, they might put more power to the ground than the ones I bought. And probably for cheaper. Don't quot...

Re: input on my 2.2 N/A custom exhaust idea
LINK Probably not the best-of-the-best, but good enough for my purposes. Unequal length, also not the greatest for making power in comparison to equal length. I couldn't turn it down, though. The price was right and I need to replace mine. Keep in mind these are not a stock drop-in. They require cu...

Re: Part out legacy 94 turbo
what shape are the bumpers & fenders?
If they're in good shape -- I'm in Burlington, VT. I could come get them if you can pull them off.

Re: input on my 2.2 N/A custom exhaust idea
Finally got around to ordering the header today. Should be here soon!
If the weather keeps holding, I'll be able to get outside and do the body work I need so that I can actually drive the thing and get it in for exhaust work

Re: input on my 2.2 N/A custom exhaust idea
I'll do what I can. I plan to get the exhaust done this summer. most of my plans for this rebuild got delayed last year.
once it warms up though... off we go!

Re: help me identify an EJ22T...
damn. even more thorough. thanks so much 'dash. while we're on the topic and i've got your attention ^__^ it's 186k miles, asking 450$ seems like a good deal to me. he's offering a stripped down shortblock no AC condensor, no AC compressor, no alternator, no header. downpipe included (?) -- although...

help me identify an EJ22T...
Hey All, I'm on a search for an EJ22T. I'm emailing with a craigslist poster who isn't sure of what he's got. I told him to simply send me a photo of the car or preferably a photo of the engine. He seems to ignore my request (or not know what I'm asking), but he sent me this: "On the sticker un...

Re: dullers' 92 Legacy L -build log- (project "fun 2nd car")
i like that idea thanks! I'll probably pull all the trim that I don't plan to be body-matched and rattle can it black myself. That way the shop can worry about just one color.
