Re: air conditioning problem
Did you put a thermometer on it? Either the thermo switch is bad, or it's shutting off for a reason and you need to try and figure out what's wrong with it. yup, its deffinitely was not a "too cold" problem.. it wouldn't kick on even when it was 95 degrees.. and xsometimes if would stay o...

Re: air conditioning problem
well i dug into the ac thermoswitch in the heater box. when the ac is running and it clicks off, i can basically unplug and plug the thermoswitch and the ac will come back on and work fine.. i've bypassed the thermoswitch now, there was a writeup i found that showed which wires to jumper. anyways, w...

Re: hit a deer need some parts
ok so on a whim i went to the JY and found a brown 91 sedan, it had a silver grille in it, that matched my car (SCORE!)
and i managed to straighten the hood, it came out quite nicely,..
just need a pass side fender in 944 pewter silver.

Re: o2 sensor or not?
no emissions here, or inspections, so cats and such are no problem to get rid of..
car only has 98k original miles, so everything is in excellent shape.. with the exception of the exhaust, lol..
i ordered a o2 bung today.. it'll be easy to install. lots of room in my custom y-pipe

Re: What has your Soob towed lately??
so this was awhile back and with my old ea82 wagon. was 4wd, no turbo, webered, 2.5" exhaust. it ran 75 down the freeway with the same car behind it in tow on a dolly. then before i took the dolly back i moved a friends s-10 about 15 miles for him.. it was a little heavier lol.. http://i568.pho...

o2 sensor or not?
so after custom making my own exhaust yesterday (couldn't get any exhaust shops here to do it) i find my car with no cats, no o2 sensor, a nice clean straight pipe to the stock muffler.. i refabbed the y-pipe and eliminated the cat. its straight pipe now.. the 2nd cat is gone and straight piped as w...

just a question about headers
i know in 95' they changed the headers to not have a cat in them. they also changed the shape of the header. will the 95' and up headers fit on a 90-94'? i ask cause my exhaust is toast, the middle cat blew out into my muffler and the baffle is rattling, and the y-pipe has been fixed too many times....

you can tow it with the front on a tow dolly, if you remove the rear driveshaft.. cheapest easiest way unless you want to pay for a car hauler to put the whole thing on.

Re: 1990 Legacy 2.2 running problems
a rotten egg type smell would tell me bad cat converters. dieing when giving it gas, can also be a plugged fuel filter and / or bad fuel pump. fuel filter is cheap and if it hasn't been done in a long time change it. and check for vacuum leaks while your at it. once you get it running , use 10w40 an...
