Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
I'm really surprised with 800k on her it's not that bad. Also the fuel filler is exposed to lots of flying rocks.

Re: rallyak car's and journeys
I've been thinking of that, I've already installed post face struts and it helped a little. When I'm loaded I rub the quarters a little on bumps. I'm due for new ones, I installed those 2 1/2 years ago about 100k.

Re: E-Brake Cable Broken
The cable you have in your hand is short and it connects the two cables into one. I would grab one from a salvage yard, it just under the console.
I've also changed my e-brake cables I would say 11/2 hours.

Glad your ok, this is my biggest fear driving mine. I'm not worried about my driving, it's everyone else I worry about. In the last 15 years all my accidents were not my fault and my poor Legos keep getting hit, sideswiped and rear ended.

The fork looks good, it will be loose. Make sure both clips are on the throw out bearing, and that bent shield can be removed. I haven't had one on my car since I bought my car.

Re: Compression Numbers: To rebuild or refresh
Personally if its not burning much oil I wouldn't touch it. My wife's is completely stock and never been apart and it at 413k and I have no plans to rebuild it any time soon.
If I was you I would do the normal maintenance plugs, wires (NGK), oil and inspect the timing belt and oil seals.

Very busy for the holidays, delivering lots of presents. This is how much I abuse my poor car every day. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/rallyak/Mobile%20Uploads/D2821FE6-C167-4785-9BF0-F233415C31CC_zpslhookeej.jpg http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/rallyak/Mobile%20Uploads/8ADE8D3B-9...

49-maf would cause it not to run and die after start up.

The axels fit in only one way, if it is 180 degrees out the pin will not go all the way in and about 1/4 will be sticking out. Are you sure the axel is in properly?

I'm always running out of gas with still 1/2 gallon left it the tank this would keep me on my wife better side, or maybe I shouldn't push it so close and get gas.

Have you checked the ground on the back of the intake? That grounds the ecu and sometimes that gets overlooked especially in a swap.

Yeah, a MAF will cause it not to start and if you unplug it the car will run, but super rich.

Re: Sputtered and now won't fire - Fuel Pump?
It sounds like the pump to me, my moms car eats a pump about every two years and the symptoms are: it will stumble when cruising at high speeds and try to go up a hill or pass someone. It normally gives us a days notice, stumbling and i believe it throws a code for #3 misfire. Which that's the last ...
