Yeah mine is basically 40/20/40. So all of the seats fold down but the middle can seperately.Armrest folds down, then there's a plastic flap behind it with a button to push down and then it opens that. I'll try to get pictures for you guys tomorrow

I got 2000 Legacy limited seats in my car. Driver's seat is powered and both are heated. You'd have to switch the seat buckle to the old one so you can still use the seatbelts. The bolts are a little tricky but they do go in with a little work. So yes it is possible and not all that hard

You need to deterimine whether the solenoid is actually bad or if the wiring is at fault. To replace it I believe you can just drop the trans oil pan and get access to the solenoids.
