Re: Poor mans wanna be equal length headers for N/A

Can you try your best to measure from the flange on each side to where they join? I'm curious how equal this design is (and might copy it) Your looking at ~0.25" difference at most hints the poor mans equal length headers. Is that an actual pre-fabbed collector, or did you build it? What does ...

Re: Poor mans wanna be equal length headers for N/A

Very nice work. Looks like some shiny new axles. I could use some new axles. Thx. Advanced Auto Parts had them at decent price for $70 with lifetime warranty. Holding onto the old on to rebuild. Nice work! Where did you get the materials? Thx. Local muffler shop within walking distance from the con...

Re: Poor mans wanna be equal length headers for N/A

Finished for now. Please excuse the unsightly leak. Looks worse than the 1/4 quart it leaks in 3000 miles. http://i40.tinypic.com/2jdtg8.jpg o2 placement. At best 5 degrees off center but now heat up time is significantly less. Stock cold take several minuted to heat. Figured with the air flow in su...

Poor mans wanna be equal length headers for N/A

$35 so far and looking to be ~$60 total to finish the whole exhaust. I'm going to run 2.25" all the way, reuse the stock muffler, and may or may not omit the second cat. depending on how this sounds. 2nd Gen. header trimmed, 1.75" to (right side 2" for near 90 degree bend to collector...

Re: Swaybar FAQ

How about a '10 Forest front? Guy I know just put a Tribeca's on the Forester wonder if his old would fit.

I ask because the Tribeca is grayed out so I take it means something.

Edit: grayed out because its a link, Doh!

Re: Swaybar FAQ

Thanks Jamal for this. You can add 98' Forester front to the list as working. They are 19mm
Also want to add that I pulled a rsb off a 95' wagon and it has the same tire hump as ours and is 16mm.
I looked at a 96' wagon same body style and it did not have the hump, rsb was straight and was 15mm.

Re: 94' Sedan fwd suspension upgrade

Put the rears on yesterday was more of a task than I'd like. First mount bolt to frame broke the weld on the nut so I had to go in for surgery. Of course it had to be behind the filler tube and I just so happen to have a full tank of gas which I rarely do. http://i39.tinypic.com/j8pt8j.jpg The rest ...

Re: 94' Sedan fwd suspension upgrade

Next up sway bars. Being the runt of the litter (92-94 L) I was not graced with a rear sway bar. Luckily I'm resourceful and found a 95' Legacy awd 2.2L wagon with everything I needed(except for proper lateral links). I noted when comparing it the another 96' awd wagon that the 95' had the same bump...

Re: 94' Sedan fwd suspension upgrade

There is a slight slop towards the driver side rear on the pavement.
Also swapped out the trunk for $20 with no luggage rack and trimmed down the wagon exhaust for a tight/clean fit.

94' Sedan fwd suspension upgrade

Here's what I ended up with. 07' WRX fronts complete swap (spring/strut/mount) swapped with zero issue. 92' Legacy FWD wagon rear springs and 94' Legacy KYB ExcelG struts and reused stock mounts. Stock spring rates F 123 R 129 Swap spring rates F 163 R 179 Center hub to fender bottom measurements St...
