Re: Jon's 92 winestone legacy ss (first time owner!)

There's a good group of us in the springs now. We started tearing into this thing yesterday. Needless to say it's seen better days but we are gonna give it some tlc and hopefully have it top notch in next couple days. Found holes in lots of oil/coolant/pcv hosing. Dried and cracked hoses everywhere....

Re: My car is eating MAFs...? Soo lost right now

The na mafs from the 90-91 m/t came with the same metal maf we can use on our cars

Re: My car is eating MAFs...? Soo lost right now

Figured I'd update this. Went through 3 unlucky na mafs, bought a used Tleg one and has been working flawlessly. Also replaced my air filter which was disgusting with tiny holes in it here n there.

Re: Fuel/Boost Cut at 85-90mph in 4th gear

If your boost gauge kept rising check the hoses running from your mbc to the turbo. Make sure they aren't ripped or blown off the compressor nipple. Mine does it every once in a while and my boost gauge always shows a little higher boost in 4th and 5th versus 1, 2 , and 3. Sent from my iPhone using ...

Re: Big lifter problem..

I thought I had major lifter noise for months.... Same with my buddies Tleg and we both kept planning to bleed them manually and get it over with. Well we recently did a huge tuneup on ours cars and both our spark plugs looked like crap when we replaced them. Since then no more ticks on cold starts ...

Re: hesitation issues

Glad to hear the maf worked for you! It seems to be a very sensitive issue on these cars lol. In the two years I've almost owned my car I've gone through 7, 4 being in the last two weeks and the other 3 when I was having electrical issues but jeez

Re: My car is eating MAFs...? Soo lost right now

Just used my last known good maf. This one is out of a Tleg unlike the other 3 which were from the 90-91 na m/t which work fine. Also just replaced a new air filter and tightened up all the silicon hoses from the box to the turbo inlet. I guess we will see if this one lasts or if it craps out it a c...

Re: My car is eating MAFs...? Soo lost right now

I'm planning on going full standalone within next month or so and that'll rid a lot of problems for my car uncle using the stupid maf, but id like to fix the problem for time being as running hella rich is expensive on the gas budget

My car is eating MAFs...? Soo lost right now

So after a month or so of shitty intermittent hesitation issues in my Tleg I've diagnosed the issue as the maf sensor. It starts to make my injectors go static and spit out flat 10.0 afr readings before I'm even in full boost. I can have mbc set at 12 or 8 lbs and still as the needle is barely reach...

Re: Charging/starting problem and hesitation issue

Awesome thnx for that diagram! And my ignition cylinder is getting looser. Seems when my car won't want to start I wiggle it around while my key is in it and it'll crank up like I'm hitting a contact or ground to give it that lil spark to start it. Sometime I'll wiggle for a second sometimes it take...

New Tleg owner, awd not engaging?

Josh I'm gonna attempt a paint picture and post it here to help visualize and Robert will be posting pics up close and detailed to show where in the connector it's coming off

Re: New Tleg owner, awd not engaging?

Next time I see Robert I will take note of the exact wire it's spliced off of. But the two yellow wires run through the firewall so they can be connected to each other inside the cabin under the dash. They are coming off the trans connector. Like tapped into it. The po said the wire is for the duty ...

Re: Charging/starting problem and hesitation issue

Ok josh. I got a lot going on under my dash so do you remember about where it might be. Like the same side as the black connectors or other side near green connectors. It's snowing and freezing out so I'll get it out when it has warmed up. Also josh, yesterday while it was still warm out my car woul...

Re: New Tleg owner, awd not engaging?

So there's the pictures. Po said it could be the duty c solenoid went out or that something else in the tranny went out. He gave us a parts tranny if we need it but the trans itself shifts great and makes no noises so I'm thinking it could just be the wiring is fudged Sent from my iPhone using Tapat...

Re: New Tleg owner, awd not engaging?

So josh I'm kind of confused what's wrong with Roberts awd here. The po said he didn't do the wiring but he said he had the awd work for him before. I'm gonna make a paint image and post it up here how the wiring looks. It's pretty much a wire spliced off the black square connector above the tranny,...

Re: Charging/starting problem and hesitation issue

Hey josh sorry haven't gotten back sooner. Been busy so I will check if there are any more active codes today. My hesitation came back so I think my used maf already took a crap. Gonna grab another on Monday. I do have another question though. Since my manual swap my ignition key WILL not turn all t...

Re: idle vacuum psi

Me and Chris both run around 16-19 mine usually hovers over 18 with a warmed up idle. But i think our altitude has something to do with it vs vac readings at sea level

Re: New Tleg owner, awd not engaging?

My abs light is always on cuz my fuse is pulled so we can check that tomorrow when i see you. Josh I'll be looking over the Tleg tomorrow and try to get more info on what this wire is and why it's there. I personally haven't seen it yet. I'm wondering why the pwr light comes on when he takes the wir...
