Re: In Need of PVC Connector
Hmmm, that's odd. I was pretty sure mine was like 3/8" steel tubing. My #1 and #12 are plastic for sure and you are correct on #11, mine was super brittle as well.

Re: Cruise Control Vacuum Pump
I sure did, no go... I tee'd in a vacuum gauge right before the vacuum canister that the throtle cable is connected to and went for a drive. Tried to set cruise at several different speeds, 0 vacuum on the gauge which is what lead me to begin troubleshooting. The pump is the first thing I checked, r...

Re: Cruise Control Vacuum Pump
I actually applied 12V & ground directly to the motor. The motor didn't operate at all so I got the entire assembly from a junkyard (they said they checked it and it checked out fine) and got the same result, it did not operate either. Not sure to do next...

Cruise Control Vacuum Pump
So after reading several posts on what could have caused my cruise control to quit I have come to conclusion that my vacuum pump is bad but wanted to ask a question before I go any further. This vacuum pump runs on 12 VDC and after hooking it straight to my battery I would have assumed that it would...

AT wont shift with brake applied
Guys, I have a problem that I cant seem to figure out how to fix it. Once in a while after start up I apply the brake and it wont shift out of park. I know there is something that will not allow it to shift out of park unless the brake is applied I just don't know the name. Does anyone know what tha...

Re: Engine cutting out
Well after a few days my car starting cutting out again and seemed to be getting worse so I changed the coolant sensor today. Went for a spin and low and behold the car ran great. Crossing my fingers that it stays that way...I'll give an update in a few days....

Re: Need advice/help pulling EJ25D with an auto tranny
When you put the engine back in, try and line up one of the flex plate bolt holes with the bell house "window." ALso, I wrap thin fishing line around the flex plate bolts when I put them back in, so even if I lose grip on them, they cant fall where you cant reach them. Learned that one th...

Re: Need advice/help pulling EJ25D with an auto tranny
All went well, TC stayed in place. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but the 4 bolts that hold flex plate to TC are a pain in the butt. The best way to get to them is to use a 1/4" ratchet, a 18" extension and go through the intake to access the window in the bell-housing.....

Ok guys, need some advice or help. My son and I are going to help a buddy out by helping him fix some oil leaks on his sons 1998 Legacy Outback wagon. Its has a EJ25D with an automatic transmission in it. I have read few posts that talk about night mare stories about how their transmission didn't wo...

Since youve never cleaned it did you make sure to use appropriate maf cleaner and careful to not touch the sensor?...

Re: Engine cutting out
I had a stumbling issue with my Legacy where it would kind of bog and stumble upon initial cold start. I believe it was MAF related. The coolant temp sensor is used for a lot of temperature related fuel trim tables, so if the temp sensor is off, that could be causing some improper lookup tables. Yo...

Re: Engine cutting out
Wow, would have never guessed that one. So your thinking its sensing low coolant causing engine to cut out? Where is it? On the radiator? Can it be tested?rallyak wrote:Coolant sensor?
