Josh filled me in on the specs.
The specs found in the FSM for the wheel speed sensors are 0.8 – 1.3 kohms and the testing should be done with the wheels stationary (not rotating).
Thank you Josh, for the great info.

I bought one a couple years back from the dealer. It was like $20 or so.

Re: ABS Fault Code 16
I have not gotten a chance. I just received this information the same day that I updated the thread. The temp here in Connecticut has not been over 32 degrees in over three weeks (translation: what seems like forever). My shop is not heated and I'm becoming extremely backed up with other projects be...

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
Thanks James. I'll go the coilover route then. Yes, mike I appreciate the reminder. I'm aware of how tire sizing works. Maybe I need to clear some things up. In my title heading I said "Who's running 18's ?" and then in my first post I asked if anyone was running 18" x 8" ~or~ 8....

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
Thanks James, I'll do that. I have not bought springs or struts yet and its either going to be '94 Legacy BC Racing coilovers or some form of WRX springs and struts.

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
The results will be subjective and I don't think you will like them. If you were running 18's, you'd have some input for me on this. If I was unsure about running 18's, the title would have read, "Is anyone running 18's on our cars ? ~or~ "Can we run 18's on our cars." Jeezzzzzzzz Not...

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
Well, the title would imply that. I was looking to hear from people with 18's on their cars to see what wheel styles and offsets that they are running and found success with. I now understand that I will be among the few. But, since I know it's very possible to build a wheel with the same diameter a...

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
I dunno. I am currently running 225/35 R18 on one of my other cars. Whether there is or isn't enough side wall, that I'm not sure of. I guess if I had an issue blowing out tires or bending wheels, I'd have to agree with you that there needs to be more sidewall. But I'm not having any such issues. Th...

Re: GD/GG Impreza (WRX/STi) springs on BC/BF/BJ cars: UPDATE
NICE ! ! ! ! I did see that people were talking about spring spacers (rubber blocks that go between the coil springs. But, heel if I could find a place that still carried them for my application. Besides I didn't really think that wedging crap between the coils was a very good solution. This, howeve...

Re: GD/GG Impreza (WRX/STi) springs on BC/BF/BJ cars: UPDATE
I have back up cars. I just don't have time for massive projects on my own vehicles. I only have (1) lift at my shop. And I can't tie up my life for weeks and weeks working on my own stuff. I know I see many of you guys tearing your cars apart in your front yards. If I did such a thing here in CT, t...

UPDATE: After installing a "known good" ABS computer, my ABS continues to malfunction and store fault code #16. I have been working with another gentleman who read this thread, has the same issues I'm experiencing and PM'ed me. Well, long story short, Jim has nipped his problem in the bud....

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
But, did you run the 225 35 R18 ?? Because if you were running 235/40 R18, then the wheel assembly absolutely was bigger than stock. And it would visually look like a bigger wheel, because it actually is a bigger wheel. In fact, the overall diameter is 1.2" bigger than stock. http://www.discoun...

Re: GD/GG Impreza (WRX/STi) springs on BC/BF/BJ cars: UPDATE
I'm currently shopping for coilovers. I might just go with BC Racing again. I like the Scion wheels. Very clever. I'm seeing a bunch of used coilovers for sale. I have mixed feelings about used coil overs. The used coil overs I'm looking at are Zeal, HKS, etc… Very respectable brands. Am I wrong for...

Does that wagon have the STi BBS wheels in that same thread ? I only went back a couple pages. I'm still a noob around here and very new to forums in general. I don't navigate forums very well. I did find "subaru_styles" profile, but I did not know where to begin looking within his profile...

CJ,
Thank you. Those gold wheels on the red Legacy look good. Are those Rota or Advan ?
Robert, I was searching incorrectly. I didn't have the underscore.

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
And I'm not anti to 17" wheels. It just seems there is a better variety of 18" wheels. ….Unless I'm looking in the wrong places. A friend at work is encouraging me to get a set of the OEM STi wheels that are forged ?? Maybe '04 STi wheels ??

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?
One guy is using 225/40 R18 tires. That makes his wheel diameter and circumference taller than stock. Not the right idea. My idea, would be 225/35 R18 tire on an 8" or 8.5" wide wheel. This makes the tire diameter equal to stock and the wheel circumference 0.01" over stock circumferen...

Re: GD/GG Impreza (WRX/STi) springs on BC/BF/BJ cars: UPDATE
Well, true ride height isn't derived by measuring from the center of a hub to the top of the wheel arch, or from the lower edge of the rim to the top of the wheel arch because like you had said Subaru and other car makes use a lowered rear wheel arch. Rather, true ride height is the distance between...

Re: GD/GG Impreza (WRX/STi) springs on BC/BF/BJ cars: UPDATE
Thank you Robert, I did find that H&R specifies that their lowering spring is designed to work with both the WRX sedan and the WRX wagon. I also learned that Swift has springs specific to the WRX sedan and specific to the WRX wagon. Although the Swift springs only lower .60 of an inch. I'm not s...

Who's running 18" on their car ?
I have been toying with the tire calculator on http://www.discount tire.com http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos And I'm discovering that it 'seems' I can ditch my 185/70 R14 wheels and substitute in 18" x 8.5" wheels running 225/35 R18 which leaves the overall diameter unchan...
