Re: Those that like house/trance

I highly recommend d/l the nick warren set on http://www.djmixes2k.com/index2.php It's absolutely amazing.... a lot of unique/new tracks, but some oldies too. It's hard to describe the genre....it's almost a mix/cross of trance and house....really really good. But I like stuff that I don't hear all...

same here except I also change rods :)

i think the 2.2l displacement will be enought to produce good HP, and 2.33l upgrade will cost more to make.. may allow some little Hp more, but you could also get those HP numbers with some little upgrades on the 2.2l :)

As for the Question #2 answer, i don't think you can simply swap the crank, bolt all up and run like that. with the 75mm stroke the pistons gets higher than the deck at TOP-dead position. With 79mm, the piston might not even clear the head. AxisPowersomething did this convertion. They first had to r...

I think the major factor for the EJ22t to have such a low torque is the turbo that come full boost at around 2600-2700rpm (may change now with the level of obstruction of the 10yld cat. :) ) have you looked at the numbers of the TT Legacy turbo engine ? They used a small and a big turbo to have grea...

well, stock rods might be hard, but surely not as hard and light than custom forged ones. I want to rev around 7500rpm. The engine is all torn appart now. I'm installing forged pistons, so why not change the rods in the same place and have a complete peace of mind of having a block capable of handli...

axis take their pistons at CP and take a % .. ;)

calling CP directly saves some $$ hehe

The forged rods are not only forged.. but are aslo lightweight, with better bolts ... wich allow higher RPM's :)

i'll do it quick since i'm short in time : The WRX intake dont bolt on the legacy heads. The heads i have are from 97-98 since they are "bucket and shim" type. I dont have the original Intake, but i have an intake from a 96 WRX that will bolt on. I'll simply block the holes on the driver s...

I am presently building that setup .. (well, with Legacy TT heads in fact.. but it's almost the same) WRX heads on ej22t block gives about 7.3:1 CR wich is quite low. I have some custom pistons being fabricated now at CP Pistons to raise that to 8:1 . You might want to use that "recipe" to...

that is, of course, if my memory serves me right.

I've asked them about the squirters... let's see what they have to say.. ;)

on 22b.com forum, they cited/enumerated some similarities between our 2.2l turbo and the 22b engine, and oil squirters were among them. The only visible difference was, apparently, an additional crank-case breather/vent on the 22b.

yeah, seems to be a common problem... will have to find a way to prevent them from falling ! :( if they fall, they drop the oil pressure.. and putting them back might be a serious pain in the a** 22b engines had those squirters too.. curious to know if the guys at 22b.com ever had this proble...

The th05 and td04 seems to share the same wastegate actuator.

just go into a good performance shop, or turbo shop (for .. diesel truck and stuff) and ask for a replacement actuator for a mitsubishi td05.

a friend here got one for his td05.

no. it wont fit since the flanges are not the same, and i don't think they have the 90° helbow on the intake side.

i know the TD05 was on STI 1 and STI 2 WRX, was also on other WRX till 96, but for the exact date.. no idea. . you may want to check on the www.scoobynet.co.uk forum

i realised that, the main wire harness comes pretty close to the turbo.. if you remove the turbo and dont pay attention to that, and dont secure it like i did, you may end up with melted wires ;)

why i removed it ? donno... was to lasy to put it back on, give me more place to play with the engine :)
