McRae Legacy Art
I stumbled across this awesome art: http://society6.com/product/colin-mcrae-the-subaru-years_print#1=45 There are other great designs on that site. Re: R8 and a Shelby over the river and thru the woods
I've found plenty of rabbits on my many drives over that pass.
Seems appropriate that the R8 driver was more chill than the GT500 driver.

I've found Subaru Extra-S to be better than Redline 75w90 (NS or regular), when cold or hot. Redline didn't seem to work as nicely with the synchros. Regular Valvoline was way worse than that. This is in a transmission from a BD with lots of miles on it.

They only built about 5 of those DN5's, right? At least you get to help a rare car live on while your Legacy waits.

The tip about putting sealant on the outer case bolts is interesting, he seemed to be using it as a threadlocker.
No way would I build an engine on the driveway. Darn kids going by on their skateboards and kickin' up dust. And he walked on the cardboard.

Damn, improper lubrication is even worse than not having a fill hole.
The only thing worse than that is no 6MT at all.

So sad.
But after that recall on the previous version, clearly their attention wasn't on manuals.

Probably not control logic throttle changes. Putting a cruise computer from a '91 turbo on my '90 didn't make a large difference in ability to hold speed.

Re: Cylinders are full of fuel. Help?
After you get the gas out of the petrol-locked cylinders, put a little squirt of oil in there to help the rings. I dealt with a similar problem recently, which turned out to be a poorly installed injector, causing leaking o-rings. Fuel would get into the cylinder whenever it was keyed on (turning on...

Also be careful of new vs old pulley bolt offsets. If you get the newest pulley part number, get the matching bolt too. The oldest (1990) bolts are too long to secure the newer style pulleys.
