Re: TCU Power Mode Pins

Is this on your 94 turbo legacy wagon? Are you saying you can never get power mode to activate before you tried moving the pin? Are you sure you have the correct connector and pins? Yes Yes, never got it to activate. Yes, I think. It's the clip with 10, or closest to the floor. I counted to the 6th...

Re: TCU Power Mode Pins

I swapped the pins. B46 Pin 6 over to Pin 4 and it didn't work. The manual button still lights up the manual light and 'Power' doesn't come on in D 1, 2, or 3. Pin 6 was blue with a yellow stripe. The pin came out and snapped into slot 4. Another thing is that I can NEVER get 'power' mode to activat...

TCU Power Mode Pins

I just wanna make sure I got this right.

So in order to do the power mode mod, I move Pin 6 on my B46 connector on the TCU, which controls the manual button on my shifter, over to pin A4 which should be empty. Then that will make my manual button a 'power' button, correct?

Re: WA/OR meet!

Let's do it guys, figure out a time and place. I'm thinkin this Sunday, all meet up at Chevron on Jantzen Beach, then take a cruise over to the river. I know a noce spot over by the PDX airport with a big lot to park in. Maybe someone's house for a fire pit or BBQ. Just ideas!

Re: SS refuses to accelerate, fees like it misfires too?

edit: About the bypass valve. Can I remove it from the tb intake without taking the tb intake off? The tb intake is stuck fast and I was having a really hard time trying to remove it the other day when replacing the turbo inlet gasket. It was very cold out and I felt like it was going to break if I...

Re: Shuttering on acceleration

They are two small hoses open ended, maybe about 8milimeters if not smaller. And yeah, sounds like what is going on with my car. It boggs down real hard but I can rev it up to bring it back. Maybe I'll look into getting a new MAF.

Shuttering on acceleration

So about a month ago, I was hitting an on-ramp. The car hit about 5k and I was in 3rd gear, I shifted into drive, and it started shuttering and bogging down.. I was like 'oh sh*t' and bumped it into neutral. It revved up just fine, bumped it back to drive, and it was bogging... bumped back to neutra...

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC

Well all is good and running. I forgot to plug in the plug right above the PCV hose, I think it's the IAC. Scared me at first, started it up and CEL came on and it wanted to die, but then realized I didn't have that plug plugged in, ha! Plugged it in and it was good. At first the idle was really low...

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC

Josh, that hose is just a random radiator hose I picked up, it was the only hose with the correct diameter that I could get to fit on the BPV. I'm hoping it won't cause any issues. I'm gonna fire it up in a little bit this morning and I'll report back with anything good or bad going on

Got the WRX BPV plumbed and fitted today. Here is a quick shot of it. Don't mind the foil and RTV all over the place haha. It will all be cleaned up tomorrow. Re: Illumination Fuse for Gauge

I'm using it for a boost gauge. I ran my ground to the ground on my amplifier. I don't care about it dimming with the dash lights, I just wanted it to turn on when I turned on my parking lights/headlights and then turn off when I turn off the car, and it does and works well! Do you know where that i...

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC

Is it safe to run the TD04 without the intercooler on stock boost? Like just swapping it in place of my VF11? I need more parts for the intercooler but I have everything I need to put in the TD04.

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC

Thanks to fireman2101 i'll be running the stock BPV, and then probably still using it when I put my intercooler on, I got one of those BPV adapter plats that mount the intercooler.

I went and picked up a fuse tap. It's a little bit better constructed than the ones above, it seems to be working great!
