I'm wondering if I can just shove the 12+ wire in with the #9 fuse for Dash Illumi. and then just run my ground to my amplifier grounding...
So basically, put the wire in the fuse slot, then push the fuse into the slot. Would that work?

Since the bottom of the BPV is just open, will it just act like an at...

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC
So I broke the BPV vacuum nipple off the BPV in the hose. Then managed to break the hose from the intake.... So now I have to go buy a vacuum hose but I'm not sure what to do about the BPV. I have the stock WRX BPV is there any way to hook that up? Or just run a BOV for the time being? I'm pretty sc...

Installed an Autometer Boost Gauge tonight and wired it all up. A hefty 6lbs of boost on a blown out VF11 ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC
Can I test my stock BPV? I think that might be why I'm not boosting. When I accelerate it sounds like just a bunch of air leaking. Like a constant swooooosh. I mean it's not a big deal since I am gonna buy a BOV anyways.. So today I ordered the 2.25" 90 inlet for the TD04 from Silicone Intakes ...

Re: TD04 and 05' TMIC
The intercooler came with the stock WRX BPV so that's cool. It had the stock y-pipe, I guess if it doesn't fit ill go buy a Samco pipe. I am gonna try the install tomorrow and see how it goes. What I need to know is what hose connects to the BPV on the intercooler? Where is the stock Legacy BPV loca...

TD04 and 05' TMIC
Okay so here's the sitch. My stock VF is completely blown out. I'm buying a 05' TD04 and TMIC with stock y-pipe and WRX BPV. I have a few questions that I couldn't find a straight answer for. Do I NEED a BOV or can I run stock BPV? Or none? And do I HAVE to have the TMIC or can I run stock boost and...
Re: Leak?
I have a buddy with a garage, that might be something we could do! I really want a TD04 though. How hard was it to install the TD04? Did you have to modify a bunch?
Re: Leak?
Thanks for the input! (BTW good to hear you have your baby back! I can tell it's been a long journey..) Planning on doing the TD04/TMIC upgrade pretty soon here. They're cheap on CL down here, found one for $100 yesterday but don't have that damn cash.. but I plan on getting a boost gauge soon here ...
Leak?
Does this sound like a vaccum leak? Comes in at 0:25 it's a real loud whoooosh and whine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZmZcfxkhiQ I am also worried my turbo might be headed out the door. Losing oil and the chimney reaks of oil when hot.. it's a stock VF11 with 260k on it so I wouldn't be surprise...

Whoops haha, thought someone was asking about the wheels. The coilovers are Raceland (GD WRX) that he drilled to fit, but now Raceland makes Impreza GC ones that bolt right in.

New fuel filter. Those damn lines were stuck on real good... then I attempted to dechrome but that sticky tape wouldn't come off. Need to find some Goo Gone or something to scrape it off with. Oh and it's straight piped now. it's DAMN loud.. just the way I like it ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: New coilovers installed!
what brand are they? Adam isn't on here anymore but he is a buddy of mine, he traded his Legacy for a 71' Bug i'd say about six months ago. Anyways from what I remember they were American Racing wheels. Not sure about the style name or anything. You might be able to find em somewhere. He picked em ...

Re: Engine Rattling...
Doesn't sound like it's coming from the engine or trans, sounds like it's coming from the left hand side near the firewall/dash. I thought it maybe could have been the speedo cable but that's been ruled out. Either way I don't think it's anything of a big deal anymore, I think it's some component th...

Here is a video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12Sj3HE7L1c
Sounds like it's to the left under the dash, near the firewall.. i'm gonna have a buddy try and look around in the engine bay with the clutch engaged to see if he can see anything..

Sounds like it also might be a vacuum leak, I would check all of your vacuum lines. Do an active diagnostics check and post back an codes you might get.

what i read there seems like i need a lower compression and to drill the heads for the oil then strap on the bold on stuff and your good Not exactly. Sure you can throw on a turbo and get it to work but it will be a ticking time bomb if you're running it over 3-5psi and even then it's playing with ...
