Well that explains why it stopped running. Lol. That's bigger than I thought it would be.

Dose anyone know!
Hey just some advice but you are asking a lot of questions that could be found with some light searching and reading the stickies. There is a lot of info on here that has been put together already. I am by no means an expert on any of this but there is really good info on here if you take the time t...

Re: 91 SS Engine died tonight
My thought was if the previous owner didnt keep up on the oil changes it may have gotten too low a few times and possible cause some excess bearing wear which over 200k could make a difference. I have had rod knock in other cars and it wasn't as loud/pronounced as I have heard in the past. If that m...

91 SS Engine died tonight
I don't think the robtune had anything to do with it either. It probably made it last a little longer with the tune vs me just running higher boost on the stock computer. I think lack of oil changes over the year was the biggest thing but I don't have service records and it was just the overall feel...

91 SS Engine died tonight
I do have a robtune and run 18psi boost which could have contributed. I by no means baby the car either and I am not the most confident that regular service was the highest priority on the previous owners mind.

Can I put '04 wrx springs on my 91 ss
Well my journey was short lived when I figured out 3 of my struts were worthless so I bought some coilovers instead but you should be able to just use the rear top hats from the 91 and they should work. And from the suspension stickies (I'm no expert) it seems like some negative camber would be good...

Can I put '04 wrx springs on my 91 ss
Thanks. I read through those and it answered all of my questions fit wise but didn't see if anyone was using them with the stock struts instead of upgrading everything at once.Someperson wrote:yes you can and here are the specifics http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=35322

Can I put '04 wrx springs on my 91 ss
I got a set of '04 wrx sedan springs and everything I found says they should fit on my 91 legacy ss. Just wondering if anyone has run the stock wrx springs on the stock legacy struts?

Stripped head bolt. Helicoil? New block?
I used a helicoil in a Cadillac 472 motor for 5 years and never had a problem and I put it through a lot of abuse. If they are done right they are very strong.

Re: Any laptop or LCD screen gurus out there
From what you said I would lean towards the inverter also. That is (in my experience) what normally goes first. I would look on ebay if you can find a deal on the inverter and bulbs together. With already having it all apart it would be easiest to replace them all if the cost isnt too steap but that...

Looking for pic of legacy with 5 spoke impreza rims
I am looking to see if anyone has a picture of their car with the 5 spoke impreza rims on it? There is a link at the bottom for what they look like. I know they come with 205/55 r16 which from searching the threads should be fine on a stock 91 SS suspension. Just wanted to see a pic before I waste m...

What did you do to your Subie today?
With a tear in my eye, I traded in my 2006 Impreza Outback that I've had since dec. 2005 that had 7 miles on it when I got it and I got a new ford escape.

Stumble under vacuum and super lean
Now it's jumps around the 15 mark on the wideband(was worse before) and goes rich under boost. I am using a 2004 wrx intercooler. It is running a lot better now. I think I may be slowly fixing problems as I go. I changed the intake gaskets, re-did the intake piping, changed most of the vacuum lines,...

Stumble under vacuum and super lean
I just got another maf yesterday actually. Gonna try and see if it helps. I found out that part of it was caused by a bad ignitor so I was only running on 2 channels out of the 4 from the ej20 ecu. That helped a lot but now I keep blowing intake parts apart.
