Re: 93 na to 5spd swap

Auto cable just reached with the auto adapter. 06 sti starter is a go. Pedal swap was an ordeal with the automatic push button heater box.. a harness sheethed in thick nylon conduit placed where 5sp pedals bolt up made that fun.. i followed a write up and built a patch harness from the neutral and r...

Re: 93 na to 5spd swap

Sensor removed. Auto speedo mechanical adapter screwed right in its place. Just hoping cable length isnt an issue. Its about 10" further back than auto speedo hole location. Tranny is a 96 jdm wrx close ratio

Sanding polishing time was approx 26hrs . Had a setback with polishing. Must have got grit in a pad. Headlamps went from near completion. Back to 1500...uhhg. could do in under 20. But honestly....ill custom clean mount a rigid led bar before id do that again

Re: Cleared lenses

well the sanding process is 9/10s the work. - lamps must be heated in an oven @ 225c for about 15 min each to melt the butyl sealer and carefully seperated. -markers are especially difficult because they use 4 clips (lens connects positively to lens housing in 4 places) and mayor may not have 2 hidd...

Re: Cleared lenses

I defluted them also. Blacked the inside. But left the inner light diffuser so the bulb light would still be decent. I had to run a border because the glue seam is visible through the clear lenses now. Fluting hid it all stock

Re: 94' Touring Edition leaks ATF after sitting

Its somewhat common to have the seals between the tranny and diff leak...the atf leaks into the diff. Overfills then pours out

Re: New sppedomter cable

Undo the spring clip on the tranny side. Unclip the cable. Carefully install the lil adapter stub. (Make sure the flat lines up with the slot) then reinstall the cable onto the lil stub adapter

Re: not sure what to do with tranny...

Few things id try first. Fluid swap and replace external filter and a band adjustment. Failing that i would upgrade. I went with a 97 leg gt tranmission and swapped the rear diff to match ratio. It works fine with the stock tcu. And is supposedly a better built tranny. I did the valve body upgrade a...

Re: Internal vs External trans filter 1992 Legacy Wagon AWD

I have been told before that all i have to change is the external trans filter on my 92 legacy L awd wagon. It has a filter that is up by the front left subframe, it is like the fuel filter, with and in line and out line. I have changed this before, and the fluid. But she is getting older 171k and ...

Re: 1993 NA EJ22 Oil Leak - Passenger Side

Sweet. I just did a rebuild kit on my powersteering pump, so I don't think that is the culprit this time. I will check the orange area and the red and yellow spots for oil leaks. Is fixing the rear cam seal very difficult? Do we have a "how to" or "helpinator" on how to do that?...
