Re: 04 WRX 5 speed swap question

Are you just wanting the 5spd swap components from the WRX or are you wanting more than that? If you're just wanting the 5spd stuff, as long as you get the rear diff and axles to match....the only question then becomes the ABS tone ring setup. If those work, you should be able to use the WRX stuff....

Re: 04 WRX 5 speed swap question

Supposing one had an SS sedan just missing the 22t shortblock, but had a full 04 WRX wagon available for parts (t-boned), would this swap be any easier, in terms of parts availability? I understand the driveshaft and rear end would need a bit of . . . finessé-ing. . But are there any electronic grem...

fly - car is not on your coast. It's in Puyallup.

Know1 - I'd rather be rid of the whole thing right now, sorry. If I weren't thousands of miles away from it, I'd consider that as an option. As it stands, though, I have quite a few kids who are ready willing and able to throw down cash. . .

I think I might have a solution for you, but also a shameless plug for my corporation: Need a quick way to re-tap a stripped hole? Use CRC Minute Mend Epoxy Putty part # 14070 (4 oz stick) or 14071 (2 oz stick). Break off a piece just large enough to fill the hole, and knead together per instruction...

I already sent a nasty email to that address, wishing him a happy fraud lawsuit. Selling a vehicle under false pretenses and at the price he's asking is a bad idea at best, and at worst, a legal and financial liability. If I had the money and freedom, I'd buy the car and sue him myself. Besides, I d...

Search GT8, we've been over this once before. I almost won a bet for a G to prove there were more SS's in the state of WA than he says FHI writes to him and says they made. Heck, it's probably GT8 himself. EDIT: GT8's last profile lists him as in NH, as well. I'm now positive its the same asshole. I...

Trevor still rocks the WRX backseats in his '94 wagon. We claim it to be the only one in the world that has 'em, too. :) *shrug* So far I haven't seen or heard of anyone else having WRX backseats (with the dope headrests) in their wagons. If you're looking for decent bolsterage and a lower seat, I s...

Who gave this guy all his misinformation on Subarus? CF is spendy, and if you'd like to have an affordable car that's sturdy enough for daily use, you won't want it to be mostly carbon fibre. If I was going to pay a maserati price, I'd expect to get a maserati, not a fully carbon-ed mid-nineties sub...

Just because his car goes faster than yours doesn't necessarily mean he's a better driver than you. And in my opinion, the driver counts for more than the car.
