Re: Intake and coffee can delete kit
I purchased mine off of ebay for about 150 bucks the seller had many more too. I was able to find it by searching the Apexi part number on ebay.

Re: Intake and coffee can delete kit
I know this is a little old thread but I wanted to add my opinion for anyone looking to buy this intake. This is a well built setup and easy to install! Definitely can feel the increase in the top end. Also since I have a bleed valve style boost controller I was able to install the purge line in the...

Head Gaskets going bad or something else?
So I think either my headgaskets or my water pump are going bad. I had some issues with a pump squealing not too long ago and thought it was my power steering pump. Today while I was driving the car rather hard I started to get bubbles in the over flow tank but the car never overheated. I topped off...

Still have not had a chance to change this. Too much rain! I will be trying to get it installed this week.

Re: Power Steering Pump on its way out?
Still no input? Did I put this in the wrong section? Well I have ordered the pump and will be installing it this coming weekend. Only can find the pump so I have to reuse my reservoir. Oh well. Will update once installed.

Power Steering Pump on its way out?
One of my belts is squealing real bad and my steering is jumping and hard to turn when the car is at idle. Now once the RPMs are up it behaves great with a little bit of vibration in the steering wheel. Sometimes it squeals when I take off. Does this sound like my pump is going bad? I have already t...

Re: TMIC and the Factory Scoop
Does the splitter on the 2007 bolt on to our scoop? Or is it at least modify-able to get it to fit on our cars? If not is there a common solution to this issue?

TMIC and the Factory Scoop
Alright I am going to be adding a TMIC really soon and would like your opinions on keeping the factory scoop. I will be wrapping my headers and up pipe with heat tape and eventually putting my turbo in a blanket. So what do you guys think? I have pulled the shroud and chimney and I will be using a 2...

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
New PCV valve and some more driving. I am down to the correct amount of oil and have not had nearly as much oil leaking from the intake. Must have just been over filled. Not time to replace the whole cracked aged and beat up intake. Thanks again for all the input.

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Just an update I am still getting oil and have yet to locate the source for sure but the car really doesn't seem to be using that much. I bought a new PCV valve for the car and will be putting that on tomorrow.

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Before I start it should be noted that before I fixed my MAF though the car was not running nearly as good I did not have any oil leaks where I am seeing them now! Alright after romping on it with the boost turned down I had less oil than before, but I thought that it was probably tied to less oil a...

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Thats what I was thinking. I also turned down the boost just in case. I may be newish to turbo engines but I am not stupid.

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Yep completely stock. I have cleaned my PCV valve before this incident and it was dirty but it moves and seemed functional, prolly should replace that.

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
On second thought, I know that I had overfilled my oil and prolly had close to an extra half a quart in the pan. I bet that all that oil was coming through the PCV under boost. I turned my boost down to waste gate pressure and had no problems on my way to work. Now I wasn't quite as rough with it th...

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Ok I re-did the main ground, and spliced in new 10 gauge wire and ran it back to the negative battery terminal. It got better but not right still. So I picked up a K&N air filter today and some MAF cleaner. That fixed it! The car is a monster now. These short gears are a blast. But this it a goo...

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Plugs were fine and I don't have a wideband. I think I may have figured it out though. I was looking through some posts to make sure I got all of the grounds and I found that lovely document you scanned Legacy777. I missed the ground for the ECU!! I am going to clean it tomorrow and run an extra wir...

Re: Boost Spikes when Cold
I should also add that I am still having some hesitation in WOT runs since I performed a large tune up on the car and have some squealing coming from the front end. I have checked my belts and they don't have excessive play in them which leads my to belief it may be my Alternator but I am still look...

Boost Spikes when Cold
When driving my while the temp gauge is cold I get misfires that cause my boost gauge to read in the 16-18PSI range. I have my boost set 10PSI. I have gone through all the tune procedures and have NGK Plugs and Wires. The only thing left on the car that could use replaced is my air filter. How can I...

Re: Issues with New Legacy (Breaking up above 3.5K)
Alright sorry to revive this thread but I am having sort of a new kind of issue. The car is running great as far as being a daily driver but, when I try to make a WOT pull the car pulls well up until about 4K but then the engine seems to slow down. I can easily run the car out redline but it takes a...

Re: FMIC Install and Tune Questions
Cool, Thanks for the input. Glad I wont need a tune. Walbro fuel pump eh? I still think that I will keep it around 10PSI but I will prolly add that to my list just for reliability sake. Good to know that I can go with small tubing to reduce lag this car is gonna be awesome. One more question. I am p...

FMIC Install and Tune Questions
I am starting to plan for some mods on my new SS. The car is stock with the exception of an MBC. My plan is to run the car with the stock VF11, an aftermarket glass pack muffler (since my current muffler needs replaced) and a FMIC. I planned on setting the boost to 10PSI. My question is will I need ...

Valve Cover Breathers
I am going to start modding on my new Legacy SS, and my first plan was to get rid of my dilapidated intake track. I want to just build a custom intake using off the shelf stuff that I can modify to get the fitment right. I noticed on the intake there was two PCV (I am assuming there purpose) lines t...
