Re: What Wiper Blades

if you just clean the blades with the back side of a spong (abrasive) it refreshes the blades so stop buying them so often, my blades are something like 3 or 4 years old if not older and work great because I clean them whenever they start leaving streaks.

Re: 05 STi hood scoop on our cars

in my personal opinion I think the only hoodscoop to look good on these cars would be the 08-10 sti if you could make them fit correctly and would take a lot of work but it would be worth trying. And the scop I want to do on my car is the 06-07 sti hood scoop just because it isn't huge and gawdy lik...

Re: Replacing Tires: All or one at a time?

Yes, that is too large of a difference in circumference. Is your transmission a MT or AT? If AT, you could put a fuse in the FWD fuse holder to disable the AWD until you get tires that match and have a closer circumference. Just curious, how is that supposed to work when the driveshaft goes from th...

Getting spacers are absolutely contradicting because they put more strain on your wheel bearings..

Re: RS 6 spokes wont fit

I'm confused why you would want a thinner tire width wise if it isn't clearing tall wise, he could keep the 225 and for for a 225/45 or 225/40 to get rid of some sidewall to get the clearence.

Re: Lets talk Suspension upgrades for a 1990 BC Leggy

Any suspension from 02-07 wax will fit and 04 STI and so coilovers are an option but like legacy777 and mconte are saying it is tricky to truly setup your coilovers properly where as most people unknowingly do a few twists here and a few twists here and never get the setup correct enough to make a p...

Re: struts 90 legacy wagon

02-07 wrx struts will bolt right up except the wrx rear top hats unless maybe they came from a wagon but the only thing you need is wrx front spring perches and it all works. I have kyb 04wrx struts with Megan racing lowering springs on my 1990 legacy wagon

Re: turbo vs. non turbo

Just for everyone's information who isn't sure. The bumper skin from a 91 turbo fits a 90 non turbo but you have to leave the foam off. But I will tell you good luck finding a new one. I just got lucky and my buddy gave me his off his SS. Jake15 with the red sti swapped sedan.

Re: Body swap?

The only major thing not on your list is the front crossmember. They are different from Turbo to non-turbo. A non-turbo shell will need a hole punched into the firewall for the clutch. Those that have done this say it's not hard. Wiring is only minorly different and will mostly be related to the MA...

Just FYI the SS front bumper from a 91 sedan fits a 90 wagon. I have one on mine and a SS hood. I didn't change the bumper beam but the little foam insert does not fit from the stock wagon bumper.

Re: 98 RS wheel wobble(?) at 50mph +

I thought wheel bearings tended to hop, not wobble. I'll have to check the lug nuts, but the car's been sitting. I had them put on about 8 months ago. Some Falken FK452's, but I've never hit a curb or anything. I know the passenger side CV axle is bad, but I'll have to look at the driver. The passe...

If no one has already told you, 02-07 wrx struts will work, I have 04 wrx struts on my 90 leg wagon with Megan racing lowering springs. The struts themselves will lower you're car a bit and the lowering springs I got were 1.5 inch lowering springs. It makes for a nice stiff ride but still comfortabl...

Re: 05 STi hood scoop on our cars

I actually saw a second gen leggy sedan with the 04-05 hood scoop mounted to the hood at the Seattle golden gardens stancewars this year and it actually didn't look bad, the guy molded it to the hood so it wasn't detachable but still it looked good. I wouldn't do it to my first gen by any means but ...
