I have a front skid plate for a GC made by Primitive Racing. It appears that some of the front mounting bolt holes on the plate need to be drilled at a different location to mate up with the holes on the car. I have drilled and mounted yet. In short, any GC Impreza plate you find -should- be able to...

Re: newbie here, need some shifting help
I just got my liscense and sort of inherited my sis's 91 legacy wagon. I have a question about selecting between "D" and "1", "2", and "3". Whats the difference between just driving in "D" and the other selections? Does it hurt the transmission in n...

http://204.29.203.98/~mtk/posts/adapter.jpg There are bushes in this part. In my original shifter, still on the car unfortunately, they are totally deteriorated-- gone. To the point where metal to metal contact between the parts has caused further wear. I can't explain how bad it is. If you don't w...

yeah, they're the same size. You could buy the kartboy shifter bushings MK It may be that the large bushing is the same size, therefore you could use the kartboy. But I think there are other bushings in some of the other joints in the linkage. I know the linkage side of the adapter piece is a diffe...

Brake shoes can wear a groove into the surface they are supposed to contact. The shoe self adjusts to maintain proximity to the contact surface. At some point this can cause the shoe to ride below the level of the unworn part of the contact surface, tending to lock the parts together when you try to...

I've been to the shop many times, but just have not made the trip to the dyno location. I totally wo...

Added Accessory Power Outlets
Check out my new power outlets installed in the center console... http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ultrasonic@sbcglobal.net/detail?.dir=/af10&.dnm=c2ea.jpg I used Subaru part number H6710AC000 Multiple Power Socket, which is really for BD Legacy, I think. The kit is supposed to mount in place of...

It's true that pretty much every connection in your car that can be crimped is crimped, and that the connection is extremely solid. However, you should understand that generally the crimpers and terminals you find at stores aren't of the same quality. True. I have a few hand operated ratchet type c...

I just put in my Alpine cd player (thanks again Jason ;) ) and we spliced in the harness adapter ($ 16.99 at Bestbuy) before we ever even took the dash apart. I soldered mine and then used electrical tape over the solder joints. Every wire color matched perfect and it took only about 10-15 minutes ...

205/60/15 would fit the wheel, probably fit the car, too. But it is tall compared to stock size. For winter I think you can go with a narrower tire to increase the weight per surface area of tread contact. I'd say 195/60/15, the stock size. Related subject, check out how narrow the tires look when W...

Then, in the future, possibly lower your car 1 to 1 1/2 inches with 50 series tires? Yeah, as soon as you can possibly justify it, you should replace the RE92 with a better tire in the appropriate size. Run the RE92's 'til you notice the grip get worse. You will certainly notice it. That being said...
