DIY: Rear badge overhaul
Hey guys...I'm posting up here in case anyone else gets bored like me and wants to freshen up their rear end (lol). Subaru wants $30 something for new rear badges. I thought, eff that. Bought some chrome mirror finish tape on ebay and used some black vinyl and came up with the following: https://lh6...

Re: gen 2 Rear crossmember (rear diff) swap to gen 1 leg?
The loyale and justy crossmember most definitely will not fit, don't bother even trying. I'm not sure an svx will either, but no hands on experience with one of those cars. Re: gen 2 Rear crossmember (rear diff) swap to gen 1 leg?
Interesting... I've been doing a lot of digging for parts, numbers, and compatibility regarding part numbers using this website: http://subarupartsforyou.com/ From here, I've concluded the following. The 1990-1994 LEGACY / 1993 IMPREZA/JUSTY/LOYALE/SVX all yield part number: 20151AA001 The 1995 Lega...

Re: 92-94 Turbo Grill Badge Replacement?
Just heard from Greg and he said yeah he'd make the emblem overlays. If someone has an extra 92-94 emblem they can send me I'll get with Greg so he can make them. I have a 92-94 Turbo Grill on the way so I'd like to contribute. Would you like me to send you the non-turbo emblem or the turbo emblem?...

Re: gen 2 Rear crossmember (rear diff) swap to gen 1 leg?
Is the consensus here that a second generation Legacy rear crossmember will fit as long as the differential and diff cover match?

What of all is needed for the front WRX brakes besides calipers and pads? Are the WRX rotors needed? What about SS lines, would they be Legacy or WRX specific?

Re: 92-94 Turbo Grill Badge Replacement?
The stock emblem is curved slightly. You could likely put the vinyl sticker emblem over the stock emblem without much issue. However, putting one of the other Legacy emblems on top of the stock one may not fit as nicely. I ended up making a bracket for the B4 rabbit emblem I put on my legacy. http:...

Just so I understand clearly, this means breaking apart the axle and using the stub/shaft together with the axle nut bolted on to keep the bearing moving?05LGTLtd wrote:
Option of running a stub axle from the AWD half shaft in a AWD rear hub looks like the only way to make it work.

92-94 Turbo Grill Badge Replacement?
Anyone know if we can just buy a sticker for the front grill like you can for some of the newer Subarus? Something like this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2224534 I'd like to replace the front emblem without springing for the dealer part and price. Anyone have any recommendations...

Re: AWD conversion... Can an entire subframe be bolted on?
Hey folks, I was wondering if in order to complete an AWD conversion, if I could just buy an entire rear subframe like the one listed here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-SUBARU-WRX-STI-GC8-Differential-Axels-Suspensions-Sub-Frame-EJ20T-EJ25-/181219318475?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=...

Fuel leak, tank replacement? Other available options...
Hey guys, I'm sorry for the repetitiveness of this topic but I'm in a unique situation here. This Legacy is an entirely new platform for me. The car in question is 1994 Subaru Legacy L FWD model. When I bought the car, it had a quarter tank of gas and gave me no problems on the drive home. When I fi...

FWD > AWD gas tank parts list
Hey guys, so my gas tank on my 1994 FWD Legacy L is leaking and needs to be replaced. I was wondering since eventually I'd like to convert my FWD to AWD, and because I can scoop up a WRX gas tank at a great price, I was wondering what parts I would need to install the tank BESIDES the tank itself. D...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I'm curious though, quasi-mod-o mentioned a headache. Are you saying replacing all the parts I set out to replace will be a pain in the ass? From what I've researched it doesn't look like it'd be all that difficult. I have a feeling you're advising me against ...

94 FWD Legacy sloppy shifter fix with part numbers
Hey guys, so after accidentally buying a FWD Legacy (FML right? I was so excited I forgot to even ask before signing the title) it's time to address the nuisances of this car. Upon driving it, I noticed the shifter is sloppier than anything else I've ever driven. Figured I would upgrade to the WRX s...
