Radio head unit help
So ever sense I first bought my '93, the factory head unit have been fussy (just old, it is 22 YO after all) and now it's finally dead. So I'm replacing it, and doing it my self. Which harness do I need: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0007KK2K6/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_2?colid=37B5949LBBUR1&coliid=I39L...

Re: N/A exhaust options
I'm also interested in taking care of my rusty muffler in the next 1k miles. Anyone know what the stock pipe diameter / exhaust size is for shopping purposes? And will exhausts built for the GC Impreza fit? I just fitted a glass pack with an adapter coupling, and the stock OD size it something arou...

Re: Running no front swaybar, more oversteer?
Well I disconnected it a few weeks ago and felt like I gained more turn-in and with that, oversteer. I've seen on our forums that people have done this with positive effects, especially in autox.

Running no front swaybar, more oversteer?
So I've seen on other subaru forums but not here, Some people have run with no FSB attached and it help with understeer (made it more oversteer.) Has anyone done this on this forum? I'm thinking of doing this for my upcoming autox event. I do feel that the front rolls more, but I'm okay with that if...

So is the air up around the airbox hole of high pressure just like the front of the car where I would duct the tubing up to?

What's the best thing to do? ABS tubing OR velocity stack?
So my legacy has no snorkus, but I does have the tube that goes from the snorkus up to the airbox, is this adiquite enough for air flow? Because if not, I was thinking of running ABS plastic tubing from the front of the car (behind the front bumper) up to the hole in the airbox. Would this show any ...

I was thinking of just doing one with the box on top of the TB, but managed to find one without one; only one that the yard I went to. Josh, would there be anymore power gain in adding one with the box above the TB?

It's the whole black tube, along with the black air box. You can use your car's MAF sensor because it bolts right up.

45 degree air box, and N/A cars
My car is a '93 L AWD, with the only other mod is a snorkus delete. The upgrade from a 90 degree to 45 degree air box for naturally aspirated engines is the best basic mod I've done for the car! When I deleted the snorkus, I felt I had lost a lot of low end torqe, but gained high end. I gained the 4...

How hard would it be to swap an N/A to a turbo sedan engine?
Like the title says, someone in my town is selling a turbo sedan with a blown engine (no idea how big the extent of "blown" is) but wouldn't all I need to do is take the turbo parts from the TS and add them to the N/A? Because I thought the 92 TS' were also SOHC, just like my 93 N/A? Has a...

Re: Are these weight numbers right for a '93 L?
There is curb weight and gross weight. Curb weight is with no fluids and just the bare car. Gross weight is the weight of all the fluids and maximum passenger capacity. Check out my thread here: http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=18575 The weight in that thread is when my L was r...

Re: Are these weight numbers right for a '93 L?
Well, when I did the rear seats: about 60 lbs, spare and jack: 35 lbs, and the pass. seat: around 50 lbs.
So this would mean my legacy only weighs less than 3000 lbs.
Huh. Well this is nice to know.

So I cleaned my interior and look out the pass. Seat and rear seats and then weighed the car: 2800 lbs !!!! This is with no tool box and no jack or spare. I thought the '93 L's weighed 3100 lbs?

Intake manifold and TB spacers are doing different things. From what I can tell, the TB spacer is just giving volume to the intake plenum and the material is aluminum, IIRC. Intake spacers are keeping the heat transfer from the heads to the manifold to a minimum, but also creating more volume in th...
