Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Alright, so I'm not sure what any of these reading mean but here they are: Test 1. I still couldn't get this measurement, but as you said it's okay if I don't/can't assuming the ECU is good, which I'm assuming it is because if it wasn't wouldn't it throw other sensors and stuff off..? Test 2. No. 8 ...

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Okay, I guess the multimeter I was using measures 0 differently then my one at home, so that's not the issue. So for test 1, I just turn the ignition switch to ON, and unplug the ECU Connector to test? And for test 2, I have to somehow reach the multimeter testers to measure resistance through the e...

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

So I tried doing the easiest thing first, resistance between MAF connector and body and it wouldn't pick up anything, am I doing something wrong?

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Yeah, sorry if I seem like I'm being difficult or rude; I'm not trying to be.

I'm at work right now might have a chance to check here around lunch.

Yes, the issue is for my 93 N/A Legacy and it has a properly working JECS MAF.

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Oh scratch that, I just tried starting it with the maf unplugged and it started. Last time I checked it did not. It ran really poorly and died when I touched the throttle.

And does not start when it's unplugged.

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

So it got extremely cold down here in the southwest, and this morning the car wouldn't even want to start. It finally got it started and warming up and it doesn't want to go anywhere. If it revs under 1k it's just stalls. Gonna bypass the 12v lead to the pump and report back.

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Yeah, pull the crank sensor and the L/R timing covers to check for sprocket/mark alignment. You can check right on the battery terminals, just grab a decent multimeter, set it for 2 (or 5) VAC and leads to the terminals. Any sort of AC voltage will completely screw with the sensor inputs to the ECU...

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

That is not warm up coolant temps, I just recorded the video after I got out of a 2 hour class.

See, I'm also thinking it's the timing as well! I will have to pull out the sensor to check it.

Where do I check the AC voltage at?

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Replaced knock sensor, bypassed r22 ground, and checked for fuel pressure from the pump when primed. All checked, and failed to fix this problem. I'm just about ready to take this car to the dealership or the Subie specialist in town and see what they can do.

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

Blue NGK's.

The issue probably started around October 2014. When it started getting colder is when it would have issues. Warmed up it was alright, but still bogged under 2k. I've been reading around and it seems like my fuel pump grounds might be the issue. Where the r22 connector is.

Old spark plugs were around 8-10k, replaced with brand new V-powers. Yeah, I was thinking of just replacing it anyways.

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

I really need some help on this, the car is getting worse and worse by the day. On cold starts in the morning, the car will not even get out of the driveway and it feels like it's not getting enough fuel. This lasts for about 5 minutes before it starts acting normal. I have replaced the fuel pump an...

Re: Stuttering/bogging under load UNDER 2k rpm

I couldn't hear the engine, but if you had it floored and the rpms weren't raising then something is definitely wrong (obviously). If you accelerate with less throttle, does the RPM's go up? How did you test the knock sensor? Try disconnecting the knock sensor electrical connector and see if that m...

Re: Getting our car on "Regular Car Reviews"

See what I mean? He'd probably love to know the turbo legacy was the first performance subaru. I mean, it is what spawed the impreza and WRX. Anyone from PA or NY should chime in and try and get a review of our car! :-D :-D But it was nice that he didn't rip into the SVX for not being like a WRX. He...

Getting our car on "Regular Car Reviews"

So this is just a thought of mine, here is a guy called "Mr. Regular" of Regular Car Revuews. A bit over the top, sometimes gross, sometimes cynical, car reviewer. Here are some videos: http://youtu.be/kp1kuo6xkbE http://youtu.be/UhgMEi5aqmY http://youtu.be/D-E4UeIqZys http://youtu.be/i2KE...
