What clutch/ flywheel combination do I need??
I picked up a transmission and the guy said he got it out of a 93 legacy. I looked up the code 3v- ty752va2aa and it checks out as 4.11 gears from a 90-94 legacy. My question is what legacys had 4.11 gears so I can get the right rear diff. I thought only alpine sports had the 4.11 gears and all the ...

What clutch/ flywheel combination do I need??
I have a 93 auto twag that I am getting ready to do a forester 5 spd swap on. I've done 5 spd swaps before but never a forester trans. The only question I have is what flywheel/ clutch combination do I need. Do I match it to the engine or to the transmission side?

Re: Code 35 resolved still running rich
Did you ever figure out what the idle issue was? I'm having the same problem. I have a whole new intake manifold to swap on with all new sensors and injectors and what not that are on it. I have code 35 flashing as well and my car idles rough. I think it's an injector as well. Sent from my iPhone us...

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I'm just running around in circles replacing the same parts over and over again day after day. I check for fuel air and spark and find that in not getting one (fuel) so I fix that and all the sudden now I'm not getting spark even though I was the previous day before I fixed the fuel problem. Then I ...

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I've checked the timing several times now and that's fine. I'm getting between .25 and .35 volts the cam crank and coolant temps plugs. I took the fuel line off right before the filter and now I'm not getting fuel again. It doesn't make any sense one day it getting fuel then the next its not. It did...

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I tried swapping emu's and nothing changed. Are there any other sensors other than cam crank and the coolant temp that would keep it from starting? I'm going to test the injectors and and a few of those sensors to see if they are getting the correct voltage to them

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I think the wiring to the cam position sensor was a little messed up so I redid it and after that the tach started moving. I've gotta run into the problem eventually right? I mean there's only so many more things to try before I get it.

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
Yeah fuel is 100% good. I keep going back to thinking it has something to do with the cam and/or crank sensors. I was looking around on here to see how much voltage they should be getting but couldn't find it. I'm going to put new spark plugs in but i don't really think that's the problem because th...

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I'm getting spark now but the car still wont turn over. The tachometer bounces now when I try to start the car. I've replaced both cam and crank sensors again along with the maf. Everything I can think of.. How much voltage should I be getting to the cam and cranking sensors? Sent from my LG-V410 us...

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
I have power to the coil pack. When I tested the cam sensor I got 0 from the yellow ground wire, 2.8 from the black and 2.0 from the white wire.

Re: Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
Its an auto, I swapped the ignitor and coil pack and nothing changed. I'm going to check to see if I am getting power to the coil pack and ignitor i just have to go to the store to get a multimeter first. The tachometer doesn't move when I try and start the car

Car wont start, tried everything I can think of.
Hey guys, I've got a 94 ss that wont start. I was out driving around, car was running fine then I stopped at old Chicago to eat and came back out and the car wouldn't start. It cranks but wont start. Re: Taillight and dash light problems.
I haven't. I've been really busy with work and only had a little time to check further in to it. Could you send me a link to the diagrams? I got a new illumination control unit and that didn't do anything. I've checked the grounds except for the one under the driver side seat. Still no blown fuses. ...

Idle switch?
Hey guys, My idle switch code just popped up a couple days ago and my car has definitely been idling a little funny at first start up until it's warmed up. I've looked around trying to find info on the idle switch and I can't seem to find much. Is it a sensor and if so where is it located? Any infor...

I've tried to download the diagrams but it won't on my phone and my computer is being fixed at the moment. I'm trying to figure out another way to download them though

Re: Taillight and dash light problems.
When I was first having the problem the lights would go on and off randomly every couple minutes or so for a couple days and now they won't come on at all. I was thinking it may be a short but I figured there would be a blown fuse if that was the case.

Taillight and dash light problems.
Hey guys I'm having problems with my dash lights, taillights and blinkers. The dash lights and taillights went out at the same time and the blinkers went out a couple days later. I've checked all my fuses and they look good. The brake lights headlights and reverse lights still work. Sent from my LG-...

That's what my guess was too but I've tried 3 different ones and got the same result with all of them. And I've tried it with the maf unplugged too.

Re: 94 leg dies immediately
The iacv was on the intake manifold I swapped. I cleaned the iacv before I put the New intake manifold on as well.. Yes, all of the hose are connected and properly routed. I've checked all my vac lines to make sure there's no leak anywhere several times and haven't found one. I replaced a bunch of h...

Re: 94 leg dies immediately
I did the leak down test and couldn't find anything so I retried the comp test and all the cylinders were between 110 and 120 even cylinder 4. I guess it was just a bad reading the other day.

Re: 94 leg dies immediately
I'd did a compression test today and cylinder 4 had 0. I'll do a leak down test tomorrow and go from there. But I didn't wire up the neutral switch yet I have to get a New plug and wiring for that next time I'm at the junkyard

Re: 94 leg dies immediately
I followed your thread on the 5spd swap. It's like the 3 or 4th one I've done and I've never had any issues with the other swaps. I pulled the tcu out. The pedals wouldn't go in with it still in. Cut the pin on the ecu. Connected the wires on the engine side. I haven't done the reverse lights I don'...

Re: 94 leg dies immediately
I reread the codes and the only ones that cane back were the o2 sensor and inhibitor switch. The Inhibitor switch is from the 5spd swap. I think the other codes were stored codes and weren't actually still a problem. I talked to the guy who had the car before me I guess he was having the same proble...
