Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

I think problem IS actually with injectors. Remember I wrote that first cylinder plug is the only one that's normal. Well there is a white-top injector installed. The one which is probably original. Others were covered with black dust, there are gray-top injectors installed. And one of them with a m...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

I went to local auto-electricity store and bought little bulbs. Installed one bulb into AT Eco switch, and now voltage shows 10 V. It's better and closer to 12V. Also I've checked resistances, wire that goes to AT Eco switch seems to be OK. Then I've made a D-self-check again - CHECK ENGINE blinks &...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Today I've finally found some time to make live tests of O2 sensor and MAF.
Here are the live readings from O2 sensor:

and MAF sensor:

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

I disconnected AT econo switch and checked it. The bulb inside was dead, totally black. I cleaned the contacts a little bit and checked resistance. It was OK. Then I went to check the voltage - it shown 6.45!!! Although I didn't check voltage on the ECU itself, only at the AT econo connector side. I...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Today I was finally able to get errors in self-check D-mode!!! And it's amazing... I have 47 - AT Economy switch! Could it be a problem of such a high fuel consumption?

I'll try to measure resistance and voltage of it tomorrow.

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Today I tried to change MAF back to the new again, as soon as I started the engine - it began to shake like it's going to die right away. Revs were around 600 rpm. So I had to switch back to the old one... Then I disconnected O2 sensor, I hope this will help me as a temporary solution... After all t...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Are you absolutely sure the injectors are seated properly in the fuel rails? When you put them in do they eventually "snap" into place and then can't be easily removed? Are you using vasoline or similar on the o-rings when installing them? Yes they sit perfectly, I used motor oil for lubr...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

First cylinder is 149 psi, others are 142. Your 180 psi does fit into this table, and almost at it's top: https://f-a.d-cd.net/1b23614s-960.jpg Is it difficult to rebuild the engine myself? I could send out photos of the things needed for defectoscopy on this forum =) What parts do I need to aquire?...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

10kg/cm2 = ~142 psi for non metric types. ;) Sorry guys! I promise to pre-convert everything before posting again ;) By the way what are your EJs' compression? Could you respond like this: EJ22 - 142psi - 7,84 mpg So I'll try to figure out if the compression really affects the fuel consumption... O...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Today I also filled 12 liters of G-95 gasoline from Gazpromneft. It's the best fuel in Russia, it's like 95-th (american 92) but with some additions for fuel system cleaning... And people say that it does it's job well... I didn't notice any difference in acceleration though... Then in the evening I...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

Finally the Spring is coming! And I used the most of my time to check all possible electrics: Skipped: 1. Fuel Pump Relay. I don't know where it's located 2. Crank Angle Sensor 3. Starter 4. Cam Angle Sensor 5. Water Temperature Sensor (because new one is installed) 6. Knock Sensor (because new one ...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

I checked injector resistances today: # 1 - 12.9 # 2 - 12.3 # 3 - 11.9 # 4 - 12.4 Seems a little higher than normal. Still had no luck trying to clean them. Calling another "specialist" right now, told me to come on Monday maybe, and take a set of new injector rings... What the hell? They ...

Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

How badly does it smell like gasoline and how much higher is the level, and how many miles/kilometers do you drive per day? I drive about 20 km per day, and up to 60 km on weekends. Most of them are short rides. Actually I was a little more worried yesterday about gasoline in oil, or it has evapora...

Hello! The problem with white smoke and 3 alive cylynders was that I forgot to place this little vacuum hose back on the pressure regulator! https://h-a.d-cd.net/2dee414s-480.jpg As soon as I returned it back - the engine started working as usual, and also exhaust smells as bad as usual... =) As for...

Hello! Sorry for being absent for such a long time... Any chance you could take pictures of the old and new MAF sensors? I'll do that tomorrow, and respond with pics... Re: Introduction of a siberian subarist

The coolant temp sensor plays a HUGE role in adjusting the air fuel ratio and can cause the engine to run rich, and cause the cooling fans to turn on. I replaced coolant sensor with new one (the one that's bigger) - 22630-AA041, and it didn't help at all. http://www.drivernotes.net/images/actions/9...
