burned fuel pump power wire harness
2.2 NA 4WD 5MT Yesterday I changed the old fuel pump with a walbro 255LPH, for two reasons, one is that I have this hard time starting occasionally, and I must have a cylinder that doesn't work well, engine is not smooth at idle, then I heard that subaru engines have this oil pressure problem will m...

Re: Alternative Oxygen Sensor Question
You mentioned your NA legacy, do you mean normally aspirated? If so, it doesn't have an up-pipe. I'll echo Mike's comments about getting a direct fit one for your car. Not all O2 sensors are the same. There are single wire O2 sensors, 3 & 4 wire O2 sensors with heaters in them, and wide band O2...

Re: Alternative Oxygen Sensor Question
Additional Message, I found some environmental information of Subaru cars from the government catalog. It says that FB20 and FB25 engine are using DENSO #22641 sensor for front cat, DENSO #22690 sensor for after cat. I wonder if EJ will also apply the #22641 sensor too.

Alternative Oxygen Sensor Question
Hello everyone. Here is the issue, my NA 2.2L legacy are now running without the oxygen sensor. Moreover, the up pipe has been modified by previous owner that it doesn't has a port for oxygen sensor anymore. Weird thing is, no engine checking lights. I don't know why. Do your cars will send a code i...

HKB Steering Wheel Boss Kit
I recently brought in a HKB OS-103 BOSS Kit that supposed to have a direct fit. However, the gown still won't work, due to that the brass plate behind the hub won't contact with the metal ring on the column, and it is far away.
Have anyone tried this hub and is there any easy solution for the horn?

Re: Cooling Fan Problem! The only Subie left here.
With fuse 14 blown the ECU & TCU memory will be reset each time you turn the car off. It shouldn't have any negative affects, but with time the ECU learns and can improve performance/drivability. Have you tried putting a new fuse in? If so, does it blow again? Thank you very much. The car was i...

Re: Cooling Fan Problem! The only Subie left here.
Glad to hear that issue was fixed. Have you reset the ECU? I would suggest doing that now that you've fixed the wiring/gauge issue. You can either disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for about an hour or remove fuse 14 (back up power supply for the ECU & TCU) for about an hour. Rega...

Welcome to the BBS, even though you said you've been visiting for a while. It really sounds like you may have a grounding issue. You should be checking the resistance of the wiring from the negative terminal of the battery to the various ground points on the chassis, engine, etc. In theory it shoul...

Cooling Fan Problem! The only Subie left here.
Hi All, I've been visiting this forum for a very long time although this is my first thread. I've got this First Gen Legacy with 220,000km for a year, and have 235,000 km on it now. It is 2.2L NA with 5 spd MT and AWD. It is fabricated in 1995. I am not sure the original market of it, maybe Russia, ...
