Hybrid build high idle
Hi everyone, I am experiencing a high idle issue with my Legacy. It is a 22T block with 25D heads and a 20g intake manifold. Ever since first startup its idled high (2100ish) until operating temp, where it will eventually drop down to around 1000 but trips a CEL and idles rough in doing so. It seems...

EJ20g Injectors with ej22t ECU
Ive heard of a few people on here using the EJ20g manifolds and injectors on their 22t/25d cars with the stock ECU with minimal issues (other then fuel mileage). This is my current setup, but it is running RICH, Im talking smoke out the shop on startup rich, it also idles real high (2200) until it w...

25D hybrid, Big problem (coolant in oil)
I just finished up building a 22T/25D hybrid engine in my 1993 SS. I fired it with no coolant (radiator was broke) and it runs ok (only ran for a few seconds) Last night I got a new radiator and filled it up. Went to start it, and it started ok but immediately died. Tried a few more times and just a...

Re: 1993 Legacy SS ignitor wiring diagram?
Yep 02+ WRX coils.
I spent a good few hours today trying to get the car to start with the COP and the USDM ECU. No luck.

Yeah, I have that but it doesn't specify which wire controls which cylinders. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong diagram.

1993 Legacy SS ignitor wiring diagram?
does anyone have a diagram of the wiring going to/from the ignitor module? I am using WRX coilpacks on my hybrid along with a Robtune ECU so I need to get the spark signals to the coils.
thanks!
thanks!

Re: 20g intake manifold
I don't recall the knock sensor cam and crank sensor wires being attached to the manifold at all on my Touring Wagon or the 20G swap. Im pretty sure they came off the firewall/bulkhead harness and just ran around/under the manifold. The only change on the manifold was swapping the 20G harness for m...

Re: 20g intake manifold
Oh good to know. I'm running a td05h-16g. So I can just swap over the harness/coil pack from the 22t manifold on to the 20g manifold?

Re: 20g intake manifold
The manifold has already been fitted and wired with the WRX coils. The problem is that I believe the PO of the intake modified it's harness to run in a 1996 Impreza along with the 20g ECU.
How did you control bigger injectors without the Robtune ECU?

Re: 20g intake manifold
So to use the 93ss harness you bought the ignition converter from
robtune? I was attempting to use the COP ignition.

20g intake manifold
I installed my hybrid build this saturday, and when it came time to plug it all in I realized the 20g manifold doesn't match my car. The car (93ss) has 3 plugs by the battery. 2 are square and one is round. Then it has a few connectors on top of the transmission (knock, cam, crank sensors?) The 20g ...

I once found a thread (I think it was on here) with pictures and a step by step on drilling/tapping the 25d heads for turbo oil/coolant, and now I cant find it. Any ideas?

correct HG for ej22t/ej25d hybrid
is this it? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cgt-c4262-040 I see the ej22e OEM gasket has a thickness of .023 (causes piston/head contact) I see the ej22t OEM gasket has a thickness of .051 (causes very low compression) the cometics in the link are .040 thick, with a 2.2 bore size. What would this ...

adapting a EJ20g Robtune to a 1993 SS
I am going over this thread reading about ignition converters
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=47252
However, I have a JDM 20G intake manifold complete with the COP ignition. Will this intake plug in to my harness and not need an ignition converter?

Re: EJ22T Hybrid head gasket questions
It's not that I don't want to hear it, its that there are at least 25 people spread across 3 forums who all did different things all claiming its the best way to do it. Basically, I just want to do what is going to be best for a daily driven car with a TD05h. We have a good relationship with CP so g...
