Re: EJ22 powered VW Syncro Van

Awesome! Yeah those vans seem popular with the MTB crowd and I'm always jealous when I see one in a parking lot at a trailhead...one day.

Re: WTB Subaru AWD Manual

Awesome that you found one!!! I agree about the rust thing. Sometimes people will say, oh it just has a small rust bubble. You can't blame anyone for saying that because that is what it looks like, but the reality nearly always is that the affected area is 10 times bigger (or more) than that little ...

Re: Should I dynamat everything?

Dynamat work well in the right places like: the inside of the outer sheet metal, that cuts down on the road and wind noise. But under the panel it doesn't do much. The best thing I've found is to place sticky back foam where it rattles. Exactly...Dynamat, unless they've changed something, is meant ...

Nice pictures and clean car...looks like it could use a little body work though. :)

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build

Looking very good! I imagine its not too cheap to have all that body work done and have it professionally painted...but its definitely the right way to do it and it looks fantastic so far.

Re: major_tom's alpine '92 SW

Cool build thread man. And I dig your photo thread too...cool adventures. We have some of them mountains on a much smaller scale (think at least 3x smaller) in the northeast. Hope to make it out that way someday. I bet that n/a motor struggles at altitude but you seem to make it okay! Good luck with...

Re: rallyak car's and journeys

Cool. Maybe someday I'll break half a mil in one of my cars. At current driving levels it would take me at least 15 years to get my Outback to that. This thread is inspiring.

Re: rallyak car's and journeys

This is a great thread. You clearly are passionate about these vehicles. I think I know guys like you...the type who don't make any excuses and just work 24/7/365 to get stuff done.

Re: 94 Wagon Suspension

After a bit of research which was inspired solely by jamal's Blanket Suspension Recommendations in the Suspension Stickys thread (thanks!), I think KYB AGX struts or D-specs with Ground Control sleeves are the way to go for me. They seem like the perfect fit for me. I want to contact Ground Control ...

Looks awesome! Sucks about the Spec B...but I feel pretty similar to you. I have no class either :). That's why I've been going back in time.

Re: 94 Wagon Suspension

I am also interested in this. I won't necessarily need them to be lowering springs, but that would be nice and I wouldn't want to go any higher. From what I've read, I guess the rear springs are the tough ones because that's where the weight discrepancy is. I was wondering if King Springs for the ra...

Wow, you seriously turned that thing around. I saw the first few pictures and thought it was just going to be a lifted rally beater or something...looks so good.
