a friend just gave me an 88 celica gt convertible for real cheap. it has ohio rust but it only has 100k miles and runs good and interior and top are in good shape. the worst i see are the brake lines look rusted. i am trying to decide if i want to keep it or sell it. we are all nuts for cheap cars.

sounds like it needs the auto seat belts like an american legacy has.

the law may have changed since 1989 so go to your local license bureau to find out.

scuzzy,

it sounds like you do what you want to do and to hell with anyone who says differently.

you know this is not a good idea.

when you get a ticket or something breaks don't come crying to the people saying you should not have done that.

fix the speedo.

first rule of going fast: look around everywhere for cops or stupid slow drivers.

if you tell the judge your speedo does not work my bet is he will feel no sympathy towards you.

59 was still way over the speed limit.

hope your engine build goes well.
