Re: PCV too much sludge
Hi Dlee The other day I was replacing the PCV valve and accidently broke that plastic T-shaped conexion (I think my PCV hose is old and too stiff). I have already replaced it, but my temporary fix with epoxi was holding up pretty well. When I pulled the engine few months ago I was able to super clea...

Re: dash and tail / parking lights (melted plug)
Hi guys, I've took the car to a professional shop. He said the wire is Ok and it's working. that melted plug should have been there for a long time, probably due to ex-owner excessive boat towing (trailer lights were not led back them). He said there was a blow fuse that I've missed. He replaced and...

I went to the car now to take some pics (see bellow). this one I've found this online just to show where the plug connects (red ellipse): http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad210/fotopaisagem...

Re: dash and tail / parking lights (melted plug)
Hi cj91legss, I'd be very interested on that. I'm in south Brazil where a 1993 Legacy is almost an alien artifact. I have a US address though. Please PM me if you can get this plug you certainly have a deal!
Thanks much!

Re: dash and tail / parking lights (melted plug)
Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post. Do you have any idea if I could buy this plug new and from where? I believe this is part of the wiring that they sell along with the engine on yards. About the fuse box, I think it's ok. I have never even had a blow fuse in this car (all 4 spares are...

dash and tail / parking lights (melted plug)
hi guys, I need help! My dash / tail / parking lights went out. Investigating, I've discovered a bad contact in a plug that reaches the cabin fuse box. Then, the dash lights came on, but tail and parking lights only work on the right side of the car (the bulbs are fine). I took off the plug and it's...

Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
Thanks for the pics. I've took off the corner timing cover to take a look and the belt is still fine. If the noise gets worse, I'll just pull the car to the side of the road and find another transportation. It's risky anyway.

Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
Hi guys, did not had the time to pop timing belt yet. Suddenly I'll have to move south about 1.000 miles from here, busy time. Sold all other cars including the wife's, but kept the Subaru and will take my dogs in it. @Imprezafan93: yes, pilot bearing was replaced (included in the Exedy kit), but fl...

Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
I have already checked/replaced the AC idler bearing. Thanks for the input. Helped me realize I'll have to crack open that timing cover sooner or later. I've already purchased the tensioner bearing (just in case) and of course inspect the other idlers.
cheers!

Re: High pitch noise ONLY when idling? video
Hi Bobsaget, I reckon the noise actually started just before a head gasket / clutch job (as well as a transmission noise that is annoying me at highway speeds) The clutch kit is of very good quality (Exedy) and the TOB does not appear to be causing this pitch noise or it would change / stop when the...

Well I've had a professional to diagnose this and most likely bearings inside the transmission / differential. Will not fix it now though.

Re: drivetrain noise, please help!
Today I've managed to suck about a quarter of transmission/front diff excess oil. Now the dipstick read F again. Washed underneath to see if the leaking axles will stop leaking. I was observing the job, the guy also inverted the heater hoses (upper / lower) which I've managed to undo. Also, he used ...

Re: drivetrain noise, please help!
Thkx man, yep new tob (exedy clutch kit). And it doesn't seems to be the problem. Yes, it's speed related (from about 50 mph on). Anyway to calm that noise down a little? Change the diff fluids or use mOs2 (like liquymoly)? Depending on how much it wil set me back, I'm selling the car as is, unfortu...

drivetrain noise, please help!
hi guys, my 1993 BF wagon 4wd have developed an annoying drivetrain noise most audible from 60 mph (100 km/h) and up. the noise appears to come from the transmission and is not related to RPM in the video below it is possible to hear (like a saw working in the wood shop) when the clutch pedal is dep...
