Re: 93 Legacy Startup Issues
Sounds like a sltarter relay issue using to many amps to the starter causing it not to have enough juice to turn the starter, id check that first then check the battery, good luck

Re: Big C's Legacy SS Build
So havent been able to figure out pic and video uploading and been away working on a crank no start issue, went through the entire car from fuel to ignition to ecu to wiring come to find out the car had jumped time due to one tooth broken off on The timing pulleys. Thank goodness no bent valves or s...

Re: Fuel Cut problems at 4500-5k rpms any suggestions
My fcd was having a minor short from time to time causing a fuel cut, may have to check the power and ground to it.

Big C's Legacy SS Build
A little background before we get into the gritty details. I bought the 91 legacy turbo from a high school friend who beat it up pretty good. Found it barely running, sputtering poping and banging and pretty much on the verge of going to the junkyard. Was told for 400$ it was mine to take. Needless ...

Re: Overheating issue
You say the fans are working properly? That would be the first thing i would look at because at highway spped its being more air cooled then at lower speeds. Is this a manual or and auto? Possibly a sticky thermostat not fully opening? Any major work done to engine?

Had the same issue at 4200 rpms, turned out to be the speedo not working right, what fuel cut defender are you using?

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx
Update: I may have forgot to memtion the speedo was inop for a bit, however i got it working and it took away my 4200 rev limiter. Launch control is working great at 5000 rpms, but im still getting a low intermittent idle that will occasionally shut off the car and a fuel cut at 9 lbs of boost.

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx
I found that without the maf installed the car idles much better. However the car seems to have been stuck on 4200 rpm rev limiter excluding the launch control. With jecs maf will idle for 5-10 seconds before it just shuts off. Pre existing codes before jecs maf: 24 and 45. After the jecs installed ...

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx
So i got codes 24 and 45 which is a pressure sensor code and an air control valve inop code, both would cause a fuel cut. Im going to double check the maf i have a green label maf thats black and plastic but i dont know if it says jecs. Also ive been noticing a max rpm of 4200 rpms and then a rev li...

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx
Good news got a used tune till i can get the one i want and installed the ignition converter, car ran rough for a while with a small miss. I switched back ti my stock maf which seemed to make it run much better. After 1 pull car would cut fuel at 0 lbs boost. I switched back to the n/a maf green lab...

Re: Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrxg
Im still learning the navigation through the site so that is really helpful! I was sent the ecu and a wiring diagram, however after i went through about 3 diagrams i found the one that was sent was not correct for the ecu. I found the right one and the only mismatching wire setup was the ignitions o...

Ecu swap from 91 ej22t to 95 wrx
Whats up all, ive got my 91 legacy build coming along really nicely to the point i need a tune to continue running higher performance. I have the stock ecu in the car but was able to snag a 95 wrx ecu that was already tuned by rob with the 440 injectors. I installed the new ecu along with a jecs gre...

Re: 91 legacy turbo fuel cut defender install question
so I got the turbosmart fcd, it was saying in the install instructions to install it under the dash but it looks like everyone is saying to do it under the hood by the air filter. you think I could tap under the dash with the map input to the ecu?
