Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it
Mike, ESL is quickly going the way of the Rob Tune. Now that their product is in the marketplace, they've basically abandoned it. No updates, no expansion of offerings and fairly apathetic customer service. The WRXLink IS the future of EMS for these powerplants.

Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it
Josh, shoot me your email and I'll send you the info Rick provided me when I enquired about purchasing the older G4+. I asked a few questions about the differences and it sounds like this is THE way to go, moving forward with these old rigs.

Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it
The new Link ECUs ARE plug 'n' play, so just install the board in your stock ECU case and go to town.
GeneralDisorder on the USMB is the fellow I'll be purchasing mine from, and will have it tuned at his shop. He owns Superior Subie & Import down in Milwaukee, OR.

Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it
Just spoke with my buddy who is a distributor/installer for the Link ECUs. They are moving from the Link G4+ to the G4-X, which has a much faster processor, more memory for data logging and can utilize CAN for wideband, etc. I'll be going this route probably before the end of the year, once they rol...

Are the EJ25D heads (and thus valve cover gaskets) the same on the EJ20G? Is the EJ20K the odd one out here?

Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it
If I could do it again, I would get the plug and play "Link WRXLINK Ver 1/2." Its double the price at a minimum, but many/most tuners are at least somewhat familiar with it, and you can use additional input/outputs beyond those in the stock Subaru harnesses. I hear the tuning software is ...

Re: ej20k piston rings and rebuild issue questions
...i just had the shop hone cylinders and replace rings... This is probably why its smoking. You should not have had the cylinders honed. Who rebuilt the engine, was a Subaru specific shop with experience machining a split-block engine, or was it a hot rod shop that's used to iron block V8s? https:...

Well, installing the N/A MAF certainly isn't part of this recipe, you need a MAF from a turbocharged car.

Oh yeah, FB may have made it easier to connect with people around the world, but it sure has put the kibosh on forum participation (although this has always been one of the quietest of the forums I regularly visit...) Welcome back! You really should be working on the EA82 though, parts are hardest t...
Re: RIP EJ20G
I’m guessing maybe a spun bearing, but I don’t really know what caused the engine to seized while running so abruptly. Sounds like you spun a bearing, causing the rotating assembly to seize. If you had been on the highway the oil pressure likely would have been high enough that you wouldn't have no...

How's the VF39? Properly primed before those 250 miles? Also interested in the IC.

Kindly be advised that the Tail Lamps for these babies are usually gooped fairly well in with some heavy duty factory 'schmegma' (can be a pain in nuggets to remove) God I hope they're not held in my smegma, that would not only be unhealthy, but fairly disgusting as well. The black goop you refer t...

Why not just clean the IAC? There are several tutorials out there both for the legacy and the later imprezas. It's pretty darn easy.

The CARFAX report states that this car sustained "severe damage" in an accident in 2015. How was everything repaired? Do you have pictures of the undercarriage? Ouch, yeah $5k is a lot to ask for any car that's been branded. Are you running that trunk lid with the spoiler holes open, or c...

Re: Robtune 550cc
If I were to run 550cc Top feed injectors, instead of running the adapters for the yellow top side feed injectors, would the 550 tune still work? I found some 550cc top feed injectors online awhile searching around. The tune was developed with a specific set of hardware in mind. Deviating from that...

Brake clean for me, doesn't leave any residue. WD40 isn't really a cleaner or penetrating fluid, but it does those things adequately. Brake clean does leave a residue. Maf cleaner or electrical parts cleaner does not. http://knowhow.napaonline.com/brake-cleaner-cant-live-without/ "Brake cleane...
