Re: Sticky Throttle
I believe any first and second gen will work but not 100%. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will chime in. Well you're definitely right about 1st gen cables being the same. Found one off an auto and it works perfect now, no more sticking. Thanks for the help, didn't think it would be the cable, glad I...

Re: Sticky Throttle
I would find one in a wrecking yard, autos would be best. I robbed one off a low mileage auto but haven't installed it yet. Can it be off any 1st gen legacy? Or does it have to be off a SS or TW? Cause if it has to be off a turbo model, good luck finding one in California. I had to drive all the wa...

Re: Sticky Throttle
Well I'm willing to try changing out the cable I just feel like that's not the problem. But hey, you can't solve problems with feelings, I'll grab a cable from the dealer, see if that helps.

Sticky Throttle
Car : 1993 Legacy TW Problem : I have been having an intermittent problem where the gas pedal will get really stiff and then get stuck and accelerate. Only by pressing in the clutch would the gas pedal come free, or by letting it accelerate for sometimes up to 5 seconds(only on the freeway). It wou...

Re: Intermittent Overheating
The expansion tank cap, and it does have that line I just didn't know it was for that purpose. And yes it is the stock rad in my turbo wagon.

Re: Intermittent Overheating
I don't actually know because I haven't changed the thermostat, but good news. I brought it home while it was starting to heat up and i just opened the radiator cap enough for steam to come out, as soon as water started to come out I just closed the cap really quick. Now it works beautifully again! ...

Re: Intermittent Overheating
Oh well that's embarrassing, I thought I wrote down what car I had. It's a 1993 Legacy TW. What's weird is I did burp the system, maybe not well enough from the looks of it.

Intermittent Overheating
Background Info: So There's a water hose under the intake on the passenger side of the motor that the PO didn't put a clamp on, I guess it built a lot of pressure and a lot of coolant leaked out onto the block. I put a clamp on it and no more leak, I also put some more water into the coolant tank a...

'02 WRX Steering Wheel Swap
So I bought the car with the momo yellow arrow wheel already installed ('93 TW) and it has the airbag light on. I'm assuming there's a way for me to read codes from that light but I have no idea how. Also there's an sea module under my center console. Could that be for the wheel itself? Any help is ...

Re: '02 WRX TMIC in '93 Legacy Touring Wagon
I got some advice that I could use a heat gun to shape the y-pipe in the direction of the compressor outlet so I guess I'll try that first, and if not the copper elbows sounds like a good idea too.

Re: '02 WRX TMIC in '93 Legacy Touring Wagon
Yeah the problem I'm having is finding some kind of hose or elbow or series of elbows that will hook up the compressor outlet to the y-pipe. I was thinking maybe some radiator hoses but those will kink with even the slightest bend, that's my main hangup right now.

'02 WRX TMIC in '93 Legacy Touring Wagon
Ok so I need some help with fitting my '02 intercooler on my ej22t. I realize that it wont fit that well but what I need help figuring out is the intercooler piping. The Y-Pipe that fits onto the vf11 wont work so I'll need to find some other piping. The problem I'm having is the bpv/bov triangle pl...

Re: 1993 Legacy Touring Wagon Won't Start
The problem was that the wires were broken really close to the pins in the plug but in the end I just soldered the wires back and black tape insulated them and presto! It started right up!

Re: 1993 Legacy Touring Wagon Won't Start
The positive connector for the starter was only 1/4 connected and the first two tries it wouldn't crank whatsoever, and i realized my mistake and connected it and all it does is crank now. Main fuse? What number is it? I checked all the fuses and replaced any of them that were blown, I also just ins...

1993 Legacy Touring Wagon Won't Start
So I blew my hyrdo tranny that came with the ej22t and found a junkyard 1990 legacy 5mt with cable clutch and swapped it in, it ran perfectly before the swap. Now for some reason it'll crank and turn over but it wont start. Any help would be appreciated, also when I put my starter on, the positive l...
