Re: Engine mounts
eBay is a good place, look up for WRX and if you have a 5 speed you can get the transmission mount also. This made a huge difference in the way my car felt, doesn't feel like a noodle when I hit the gas.

That's repairable and I would use it over an aftermarket one. I fixed a lot worse and that one can be fixed with very little filler.

I would just find some heated mirrors that fit our cars and just bolt them on.

Re: How the heck do I get these off.
There is a foam rubber seal that dries out that gets dried out against the body of the car attached to the molding. It leaks past that rubber instead of keeping the water in the Chanel. I put a little RTV on the rubber to seal mine because I was too lazy to buy new foam rubber and replace it all.

Re: Gas cap fuel leak - 94 Legacy Turbo wagon
Few questions:
Where is you location? What's the temperature swing from night to day?
How full do you fill your tank?
How many miles did you drive after the last fill up?
Where do you park? Is it flat or a hill or leaning left or right?

Yes, around the body side it just pulls out of a channel.

Re: Heater Core replacement??? Straight forward???
Those gaskets are very brittle, I put a little ultra black on mine to make sure it was sealed. There's no part # for that gasket at Subaru, it come with the heater core. Aftermarket heater cores are universal, I believe that core also fits a Nissan,Subaru,Frounter and Xterra's from 89-04.

Re: How the heck do I get these off.
I know the front pillar by the windshield just pull the rubber out of the channel and there are Phillips screws under there that holds it on. Also 3-4 plastic clips on the windshield side that you just pry up to pop them loose. The same goes for the center piece but also might be nuts under the head...

Re: Heater Core replacement??? Straight forward???
You will need to loosen the AC box and pull it out a little for the heater box to come out. No need to remove the A/C box.

What would be super fast is a WRX swap in a 69 360, they weighed around 1000 lbs. That was subaru's first US car.

Welcome, Your car has some good features that we never received on our cars in the US. A few that I saw was electronic leveling headlights, clock under the heater controls, and not sure what the button is next to the rear defroster. That's where we have the cruise button here in the US. Nice car ove...

If it only works on 3 and 4, wouldn't it be the fan resistors?

Yes, I believe the hvac controls were green and the bulb condoms get cooked making them look yellow over time. The ones in the cluster I believe there just clear bulbs and the green come from the cluster. The reason why I say that is I replaced mine with clear ones and my cluster is green. On the ha...

Swapping the pan would be faster and possibly cheaper, and can be done without pulling the engine.

That's odd, how it failed without driving. Changing the half shaft will fix it and the hub is fine.

I would find one in a wrecking yard, autos would be best. I robbed one off a low mileage auto but haven't installed it yet.

Mine has been sticking also, I'm sure it's the cable. The TB and peddle is not sticking so the only item left is the cable. Cables are kind of funny, it may feel smooth when it not under a load but when loaded it will hang up.

Did you plug the hazard light switch back in? You won't have any blinkers if that's not plugged in. In my sisters case I left that unplugged and told her she needed blinker fluid, and sent her this: http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/rallyak/9500DA67-7B46-49CE-9929-B92EAFF59FAD_zps5qo4pcq5.png

Smack it, mine dose this once and a while and I've been dealing with it like this for 10 years. My wife's car on the other hand I just replaced the starter so I wouldn't have have to hear the complaints.
