wow, i drive as a delivery driver in alaska with my three legacys and thats is one of the worst roads i've seen. I'm sure most or all didn't have winter tires on. In utah do they carry studded tires? I've lived in alaska forever and forget that some places don't have tire change over season.

Ihad the same issue but found out my alternator drawing power. I unpluged it every morning till i was sick of it, changed it no more starting issues. not sure if it will fix yours.
I always use that cheap purple power degreeser from wal-mart and spray it in side where the valve is and let it work .
