Re: 1990 Legacy NA 4.11 into an SS (3.9FD with Hydraulic Clu
Yeah, it's simple. I would check the lash on the front diff though. That's easy though.
The gear shafts don't get disassembled, just lift them from the case half and drop it into the hydro case half. Same with the diff.
What year is that wrx trans?

Re: 1990 Legacy NA 4.11 into an SS (3.9FD with Hydraulic Clu
Matt, first off, congrats on the finish at 100aw! Secondly, the only way to make those 4.11 gears usable without fucking with a new pedal box and all that junk is swapping cases. It's how I'm running 4.11 gears from a legacy outback in my overboosted rusty sleeper DD. It's easier than it might appea...

Re: JDM 4.11 STI Trans for sale :(
4.11 gears are awesome. 4.11 puts less stress on the gear faces. My 4.11 have taken a beating, and I have broken TWO 3.9 2nd gears. Good luck with the sale.

You WILL overheat it drifting. Enlarge the lower rad outlet and waterpump inlet to 50mm and get the Mezier thermo housing. Unless you like going out for 2 laps, pitting, waiting for it to cool off, doing 2 more laps.... http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12965 good stuff starts arou...

I really like the H6, it's difficult jumping into my vf39 powered wagon after driving the rally car. Feels like I have to wait forever for power. Keep your eyes peeled for the EG and grab one if you can. It's too fun. Plus you end up sounding like a Porsche. It's a total win/win!

The Mt. Hood rally is a great event, It's a one day event with 3 roads looped a couple times for 7 stages. This was my third and most challenging event for a couple reasons. The roads are very narrow and we had to make our own notes for them. Previous events I did the notes were professionally made ...

Re: Idaho Rally 2011 incar vids from last weekend. 720p yeaa
I have the top 1/4 - 1/3 of the wind shield covered in vinyl already so having it up in the corner would be ok. I think I'll try that, but looking back at the crew. I'd like to see what kind of faces I make when I have "moments". I tried out the sunroof glass when I first got the gopro and...

Headrest post is terrible. far too shaky.
If you have a sunroof you can use the suction cup upside down and flip the video in the gopro options menu. Or to the side window glass inside too.

Woa I totally missed your replies guys! My average speed was 56.4, that hairpin really kills the average speed! I want to say I was in 3rd for that section, but I'm really not sure.. I wish I had another GoPro for incar at the same time. Josh I used the suction mount for all the out side footage. Th...

Hehe, a friend, completely oblivious to the cage and battery in the back seat, opened the rear passenger door and started to sit. She would have sat right on top of the battery if I hadn't said anything.

Re: Teaser pic of the rally car.(Biggreen's rally build)
Car is still alive. I'm very bummed out because the wild west rally was cancelled. It's was only going to be 45mins from my house. So the next race is Mt. Hood. Then Big White winter rally in december. I imagine people have seen the Idaho Rally vids in the pics and videos forum but I put a link here...

Nah, in some situations you don't want the hood open that far such as when you have your car on jackstands in your garage. Oh man I FUCKED up my garage door in a rental house once when I had my propped up completely vertical(before I knew about this new hole) and started jacking the car off the flo...
