Re: Boost gauge flutter / oscillation under boost...?
oh, also, mine did it on the stock turbo and a new 16g. Also before and after a full engine rebuild. When i first noticed it, i though it might be valve or turbo related, but my work since then has disproved that. Might have to do with being tapped into a line off of one of the intake runners instea...

Re: Boost gauge flutter / oscillation under boost...?
Mine does the same thing. Has ever since I got it. For the record, it has done it with 3 different gauges, and with plastic line and rubber line. Also with and without restrictor pill in the gauge line. First spot, I had it teed into the brake booster line, now I have it teed in right off the manifo...

Re: Idea:Poor man's EBC using MBC + BCS
would it even need the 1-way check valves? With the solenoid closed, no air should be getting out that way, and with it open, as long as it isn't over the opening pressure of your MBC, that should stay shut too. But even so, the MBC would see the same pressure on both sides, so it shouldn't open any...

Re: Whats a good summer tire these days?
I am running the G Force sports (not the shitty super sport all seasons), and they are pretty damn good. They just brought them back (comp 2 now), and i ran through 2 sets of the originals with great results (i was so sad when i went back for a 3rd set and they weren't available anymore). I run them...

43.4 psi is what you should be looking for as far as fuel pressure.

Re: a little teaser thread *pg7 new goods^
Can you get a pic of that white connector unplugged? '91 had a larger connector similar to either the white or yellow one on that unit. This plugged into another connector which I believe is the same as '92-'94 (need to get mine in to say for sure). If I am correct, you would plug your harness into ...

Re: a little teaser thread *pg7 new goods^
That connector is much bigger than the one on my '92 board. It may be the same as the '91 connector, in which case you could probably use that harness adapter thingy. I'll check it out, and maybe even throw my '92 piece in and have the harness off mine available for experimentation.

Re: hard start issues(diagnosed possibilities w/ no luck)
Fuel Pressure regulator is attached to the end of the passenger side fuel rail, right next to the turbo. I would definitely do a fuel pressure check, but if you are changing the pump it would only really be checking the FPR. Our emissions systems were relatively simple, so I highly doubt that one of...

Re: Vented Rotors on H6 rears?
I have seen people running anywhere from 3mm to 10mm spacers to clear. I think the bare minimum is 3mm, but gives you just barely enough to clear. I haven't done this myself, though.

Re: a little teaser thread *pg7 new goods^
Looks like it's close, but one wire that ties in to the wire going from the fan switch to the blower motor resistor on the european one (pin 12) isn't there, and there is a wire that goes to the blower motor relay on the USDM one (pin 10) that isn't there on the EDM one. That pin on the motor relay ...

Re: ej22t swap... Need help
Subie hardware is like legos. Electronics...... not so much. The EJ22t short block would drop in with little hassle, and you could run it with WRX heads and it should all work out. The problem is just the sheer amount of stuff you would have to modify or replace to run the Legacy wiring and sensors ...

Re: Engine Noises then Abrubtly dead
LOL. Wish I had seen this while it was fresh. I was just reading it and thinking 'why doesn't he just remove the bracket that all those mounting holes are on'. I had a similar issue with mine, and I just took off the bracket and heli-coiled the hole. Planning on switching to the new style tensioner ...

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
Damn. I was hoping to keep all the clutter on the motor instead of having to mount it on the fender..... I searched and only came up with the thread you posted and stuff about everything regarding under the manifold intake except the pump. Maybe I am searching for all the wrong terms, though..... I ...

What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
I am getting ready to start building my other motor (EJ22T block, 79MM crank, EJ20H heads), and I want to run the intake under the intake manifold. Will out stock pump clear, and if not, is there a USDM one that will? I would prefer to keep the reservoir on the pump, to keep things simple.

What kit was that originally? I have been trying to find something similar for mine, but have been hesitant to take the plunge just to find out I can't get it to work.
