Re: ej22t timing belt issue

I replaced my timing belt a couple times. Get a new pulley set and a tensioner off rock auto. I got all the parts including day I pulleys and belt, bc I was riding with 300k pulleys and one seized.

Re: Any thoughts on a 98 legacy gt purchase?

Update: that is now my ex and good riddance. She won't change the timing belt or head gaskets like I recommended and has yet to have any more Trans fluid drain and filled. Not to get all emotional, but I hope she blows it up and I can go buy the dohc heads from the scrap yard dirt cheap. I'm a terri...

Is there a difference between the ss rack and the one in the n/a's? I already have an extra one out of an L model that I need to do the seals on.

I've got a viper keyless entry and the door actuator for my 93, but I've been scared to mess with the wiring. Was it really that easy?

Any thoughts on a 98 legacy gt purchase?

She was driving a 626, so this is an improvement as is. I'm going to do an extensive tune and make her baby it. Fingers crossed it will give her years of trouble free Subaru ownership. She won't be tracking the car or anything like that, so I don't see the bottom end failing if I keep up with all th...

She doesn't like to drive as aggressive as I do in the bc, so hopefully the ej25 will last her a couple years.

Re: Any thoughts on a 98 legacy gt purchase?

She's kind of in need of a car and can't wait for one. That's exactly what I told her too. I have spare everything for my ej22. I've read about people getting 200k + on those things if kept up. The 4eat is pretty strong from what I've read and I plan on putting a new filter and new fluid, along with...

Any thoughts on a 98 legacy gt purchase?

I've heard about the HG issues. This one has 160k and the gaskets look to have been replaced, but I have no way of knowing for certain. The car drove smooth, however it did sort of sputter around a hard u-turn. I noticed the Trans pan was dented a bit, but saw no other signs of unusual wear and tear...

Re: K-Sport Gravel Rally Coilovers

What are the actual spring rates. Just because they specify the body style doesn't mean they actually had proper testing to figure out the spring rate. I've been running All Wheels Driven coilovers on my rally legacies for years. Trying to get them revalved to better match the spring rates I've bee...

Yeah the painted stock Wrx brakes don't have the same effect. Are 17s required to fit the 4-2s?

What did you do to your Subie today?

If you have stock ss brakes, I used a 1" non abs master cyl and pro valve. Seems to work fine so far. I don't do heavy braking. I do plan to upgrade tho since I also want some 4-2 pots. I still haven't put the SVX master cylinder in yet, but the stock Non abs master cylinder in my n/a is handl...

Hopefully I will get around to that soon. Did you have to replace the rubber trim that the windows roll down into? I should start stripping my interior in the next month or so and just want to get as many pointers as I can.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

On the bright side of things, I got a chance to install some 04 Wrx brakes and rotors all around. I did however, completely forget to install the Svx non-abs master cylinder and prop valve I had hiding in a box I'm pretty sure CJ (cj91legss) is looking for a non-abs SVX master cylinder if you don't...

Subaru_styles what needs to be done to convert the legacy rails to fit other seats? I really need to get some pointers from you on how to make my legacy look 1/4 as good as yours does. Seriously man, your ride is ridiculously awesome.

I just bought the dura last equivalent of the Rockford joints, but when I took the driveshaft out, they all looked to be in working order. The guy at the driveshaft shop looked it over and said the same thing, so I didn't even bother replacing them. I'm taking the car to the Subie specialists at All...

Re: Clunking noise when taking off in first

Hmmm I just recently replaced the Exhuast from the heads back with my one from a 98 outback. Would it be possible for you to take a pic of the bracket? I also found a shop that should be able to install new u-joints for me and with the pets it should be under 200. I think I might have that done just...
