Yeah, I got about a 5 inch pile of dirt/road dust out of mine when I was doing the ball joint.

Re: i have tcu codes 11 and 22

It all depends on: if you have a place yo work on the car, tools and mechanical ability. Blow I have placed a link to a site that belongs to Legacy777 (Josh), He's one of the site admins for this site. On his site you will find a chart explaining what these codes are and how to read and clear them. ...

The only real difference between pay or not pay is that you can download the instructions in their entirety if you pay. This used to be free.

How about opening posted links i.e.: e-bay, nasioc, greddy, in a new tab or window automatically? That way the bbs will still be open while the other page is loading.

Re: Backwards Pistons?

I have experienced no problems. Well, there was the delay due to confusion and worry over not having the right parts in the middle of a rebuild that had to be done in 36 hours. But other than that no problems over the last 100k miles.

Re: Backwards Pistons?

I have read that there are right and left side pistons, however when I rebuilt my '90 2,2 n/a, I used after market ones made by rock. They were all exactly the same. I fretted over that for a while and even got the mic set out and checked them they were all perfectly even, including the ones I pulle...

Yes, still interested in the resistance reading. Did you swap the IAC on your '91 and is it a manual trans?

Re: IAC for '90 5mt

My IAC has only two pins, the harness has three wires but the center one is not used. As such I just unplugged the harness form the IAC and put one lead on each pin of the IAC.

I'd check the contacts in the starter solenoid.http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic. ... er+contact
I know it would seem that the problem should be related to the work you just did, but, that's not always the case.

See how it just keeps going in a circle. Lower gears:taller tires, higher gears:smaller tires. End results essentially wind up pretty much where you started. LOL, I've had this discussion with myself on many long drives.

Re: Rear strut mount 2WD 93 Legacy L

That seems really weird to me that the fwd would have a different mount for rh and lh, while the awd has the same on either side. I seem to remember reading, somewhere, that during a swap the awd strut assembly simply bolted in, weather or not any modifications had to be made I don't recall. I know ...

Second Gen Speedometer

I got to wondering, if I were to put different final drive gears or taller or shorter tires on my '96 wagon it would naturally make the speedometer incorrect, right? But in the gen 2 cars it is controlled by a VSS through the ECU, I think. If that is so can the problem be corrected by flashing the E...
