How about 14415AA020 for the EA82t? Side by side it looks more like that one to me.

Re: AWIC folks...

Cleaned up a bunch of stuff. Located free OE PCV hoses and a stock bypass valve. The horn clears the filter by an inch or so but I'm tired of moving them so they'll stay there for now.

Re: aluminum coolant expansion tank?

I haven't fitted it yet but may have to soon. I have a leak on the bottom nipple on my plastic one. The guy next to us is a welder that can do pretty much anything so I might see if he can make one. He saved a customer of ours that had the woodruff key shear off and chew up the crank. He fixed it wi...

Wait a sec...Where's your MAF? Glad I stumbled across the pic of the awic inlet hose with the stock BPV. I finally sourced a stock one for free and would like to ditch the HKS I currently have. The vacuum nipple on my old one broke off several years ago.

Re: aluminum coolant expansion tank?

In the interest of research I might have to install it soon. I'm just so afraid to touch anything that isn't broken on this thing! I think at the time the Subaru style cap adapter wasn't readily available. It does use the correct pressure cap though.

Re: aluminum coolant expansion tank?

I'll take a pic of my aluminum tank that our in-house machinist made. It's not currently on either of my ej22ts due to the fact that both my tanks haven't cracked yet. The only negative part is it uses a GM style cap! If there's enough interest maybe I can convince him to make a few more but our sho...

No problem. I wish I had time to take pictures of the piping as I went. It's almost a work of art how stock it looks. Luckily I work with a couple guys that can weld and fab just about anything I can dream up.

Also something to consider is the JDM reservoir. It sits inside the front of the fender and has a small neck in the engine bay. I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow.

Re: AWIC folks...

Here is a pic of the engine bay. Disregard the wrx piping being used as a pcv pipe. I'm slowly going back through things and cleaning up some sloppiness from the swap I did 14 years ago. After watching a friend put a fmic on his rsti using the JDM bumper beam I realized I wasted way too much time tr...

Re: AWIC folks...

Unfortunately I didn't take any pics during the install but I will try to get some pics soon. I will say a TON of time was spent making it look like it belongs on this car. I used several bits of coolant tubes from later turbo EJ's and TIG welded a couple sections together to get the bends that I ne...

Ah, the importance of grounds! Nice work finding that. When I got my swap up and running I had a loose ground also. Engine would die only when turning right.

Re: AWIC folks...

Got my setup working quite well, and it looks VERY stock. Especially since its in an Impreza. Only hiccup was I had to vacuum fill the coolant. Filling the conventional way led to air pockets that wouldn't work themselves out. Now the last thing is brackets. Does anyone have the factory rear bracket...

Re: ABS pump stuck on

I'm having the same issue. I pulled the relay and noticed the terminal layout is very similar to the air pump relay on the newer ej255's. I'll know for sure tomorrow. If it's the same it would be great because a lot of folks around here ditch the secondary air system when the valves go bad. Edit: Re...

AWIC folks...

Almost got my setup finished and am planning to run the pump full speed with ignition on but I was wondering if anyone is running a 20g ecu with the pump speed control. Or if you are making the speed vary by other means?

Cassette player freaking out

I just acquired an early head unit with the aux port and was using my cassette adapter until I purchased a cable. All of a sudden the unit started changing sides for no apparent reason. The adapter turns freely and will fast forward/rewind with no bind ups. Has anybody actually tried to revive one o...

Well I have my issue resolved. It turns out that the TCU does play a role in the charging system. Plugged it in and the charge/brake warning lights function normally.

Well what I did was grafted the EJ22t bulkhead wiring harness to the Impreza instrument panel wiring harness. Everything is pretty much straightforward, having both cars' wiring diagrams side-by-side and matching what needed wired together. I didnt connect the AT related warning lights, and I didnt ...

'Charge' light wont come on after AT>MT swap

After removing the TCU, I noticed the charge and brake warning lights dont come on with the key in the ON position like they used to (engine off). Plugged the TCU back in, the lights come on in the ON position and go out after starting the engine, like they're supposed to. Any thoughts on how to mak...
