I'm running KYBs with WRX struts from 02-03 in my '91, I would imagine Impreza springs would be slightly higher than my setup, and even with mine as "low" as it is I have never had a problem with it. I'm sure clearance/performance-wise the Impreza strut/spring setup would work great! At th...

In my experience clunking while turning and under acceleration on one side is a bad CV axle. Check to see if you have a torn boot.
