Re: robertpaige's 92' Legacy SS - build
Well I ended up selling the shell. I got a new 93' SS that will be the new project. Pretty sad not gonna lie... but it's gonna get the love it needs. I'll update this when I start with the new car.

Re: lowering springs for my 91
Well the picture certainly is not right, but if it says 02-07 fitment, I'm sure it's probably the right setup. I might even be willing to give these a try.. Might be a better bang for your buck over Raceland, which tend to blow out pretty easily.

Re: clutch job - which extra bits worth buying beforehand?
Nooooo, have the flywheel machined for like $20 or whatever the machine shop will charge you. It won't be much, but you want to resurface the flywheel so the clutch has a clean and EVEN mating surface to live off of. This will extend the life of your clutch by far. The noise you're hearing is probab...

Re: clutch job - which extra bits worth buying beforehand?
Good looking out on the metal oil separator plate. That's a must do if you have the trans separated and it's accessible. Don't touch the rear main seal unless it's noticeably leaking. If it's not leaking, just leave it alone, trust me. You'll likely end up screwing it up and making it a problem (no ...

Re: robertpaige's 92' Legacy SS - build
There have been so many hold ups. But now it's back in the shop, gettin ready to pull the 2 liter I blew up and see what went wrong. Going to purchase another 20G engine here soonish once I get some financial shit in order. It's been sitting since this last October and I parted everything good off o...

I also agree that the copper gasket spray works pretty damn well but, since you have that gasket, I'd just use it.

That gasket should work just fine. Just punch the holes for the bolts out a little bit and trim the excess off.

Re: 93' SS running HORRIBLY. halp plz
figured I'd close this out.. Ended up bein the fuel pump lol. A year later we finally gave it a shot one afternoon and I had a hunch, sure enough the pump wasn't priming. Wiring tested good so we put a new pump in and it fired right up.

Fmic Coolant reservoir
You talking about the plastic coolant expansion tank? I used a skinny glass bottle, drilled a hole in the cap and secured it with a metal tie. It worked well. No pics unfortunately. Everything on these cars is so DIY. Haha

Okay, so 7:3:1. I'll see what Rob can cook me up. Or I'll go ESL and have it tuned. But I really like the RobTune awhole lot.

Re: ej20g head and ej205 block?
It's actually a Ver 1 closed deck 20g (that blew). I'll have to get some info on the cc volume. I have an oil cooler so the headers should be fine. And If Rob can make me a low CR tune I'll run 550's.

Re: ej20g head and ej205 block?
I'm going to bump this thread because I'm doing the same thing right now (got a running block for free) and I have a few questions: Headgaskets. What should I use? EJ205 ones? Management. Will a EJ20G ECU power me just fine on low boost with a VF39? Or should I just buy another RobTune? I know it dr...

No pics, i'll try and get some on another car as mine is all apart. It just gets rid of the big intake box: more flow, more turbo sound, cleaner look.
