Re: Center Diff Question
More like 90-01 transmissions. They changed the case in 98(?) to a 10 bolt pattern but it still bolts up to our engines. Subaru also made them stronger (they are essentially a WRX case in comparison). I recently rebuilt a 2001 Impreza transmission with 92 parts. The pinion shaft, input shaft, gears,...

I have the 230's and its all mid to top end power. you lose some in the lows but if I am driving fast its always going to be in the high rpms. You do get a rough idle though.

A/T to M/T electrical issues (fixed)
I appear to be having electrical issues with my swap. I jumped pins 11 and 12 together on the B15 connector. I also wired in the neutral switch and cut pin 18 on the B36 connector. I have break lights and reverse lights ect. The issue I am having is the engine just cranks, cranks and cranks some mor...

It could have been in the junkyard because the transmission was bad. You never know.

Re: N/A 2.2L Legacy L Clutch Replacement Options?
Just stick with the stock r.s clutch. Your transmission will not like a race clutch at all. I'm in the processes of swapping in a 5 speed in my turbo legacy. I am using a stock fly wheel and stock r.s clutch. I have a full standalone, td04 (18psi), intercooler, exhaust ect. The Stock r.s clutch sho...

I received the DOHC heads the other day. They are exactly what Gary said they were. The packing was amazing, nothing was able to move. Thanks again Gary!

I found a picture on my phone with that line. I forgot what that is lol.
Another thing is try to keep the solenoid away from any high heat sources. Apparently it wont last long if mounted to close to the turbo.

AEM Tru Boost install (pics)
This is dedicated to sqc151. lol I installed an AEM Tru boost into my 91 Legacy. The red line comes off the manifold and goes to a 4 way tee (same place where the 3 way was). The red line then goes through the fire wall below the steering wheel and then to the gauge. The yellow line goes to the stoc...

Re: 4EAT HELL
Thanks wtdash but this car is getting a 5 speed lol I hate autos. I went to the Pick-N-Pull today and picked up a 2000 Impreza 5 speed. I have to go back later this week to get the rest of the parts off of a gen 1 legacy. I wanted to keep my 3.90 LSD so I had to go with a gen 2 tranny. I compiled a ...
