Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Found out my car is more sensitive to low ground clearance issues.... such as large piles of snow. Guess it happened while driving around town this past week . Lets hope insurance can cover it, since that's the front bumper.

Did donuts and power slides in empty snow covered parking lots . Kinda funny when people stop and watch.

Re: Revscan USB connector/Revtronix updates
1) the EvoScan usb cable for our subarus is the exact same cord. Yes you need drivers, which come with evoscan (think somwhere on the website) of the USB chipset vendors forum (I forget the link atm.... was something starting with ftv). 2) RevScan can modify a few parameters in the chip, along with ...

Re: Starter Issues, Need Help!!
Next time the starter just makes a click, try whacking it a few times with something heavy. this'll change the contact points touching the motor. This trick will work for a few more months until you get fed up with having to perform it ;) Otherwise, sounds like possibly the battery cables are a wee ...

Re: Intermittent stalling, idling/driving: possible ECU prob
What are all the stored CELs? http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm clear them and then see what comes back.
Stalling while driving/accelerating sounds like possible MAF and/or air leak post-MAF -- assuming the car is stock.
Whats a VOS chip? link?

The proper method to reset the ECU is - http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm
If you had a scan tool or laptop, you could connect to the ECU and possibly find out why the car is running like crap -- a sensor, connection or stored CEL could give insight.

Re: Hard to explain but i hope you all can help
Look behind/under the wheel area which made the grinding noise -- see anything loose?
jack that corner of the car up in the air. grab the tire and try to move it side to side and up and down. Any movement/slop is bad.
Try moving the axle around while in the air -- if it moves, thats bad.

Re: '94 SS Daily Driver
Sucks the core went . How many miles have you put on it since purchase?
Interesting you were able to get the core out w/o disconnecting the AC. When I replaced the core on the 94 TW, there simply wasn't enough wiggle room to get the box out.

Near dealer prices at www.smart-service.com; they have two locations. I've been happy with the work/service they've done in the past.

Re: Quick question about the 06 WRX TMIC and boost on the st
Yes, the TD04 flows more CFM than the VF11. the td05/td04/vf38 are the common upgrade turbos used on our cars with a TMIC.

Re: Quick question about the 06 WRX TMIC and boost on the st
You're going to have a hard time fitting any TMIC on the stock VF11, due to its non-standard clocking. Yes, it's possible, but not going to be easy...
6 psi sounds like wastegate pressure. you sure the hoses are all properly attached to/from the turbo and boost controller?
