check to make sure your intake is all connected, i know that has happened to me.
maybe O2 sensor?
i dont see why a CTS would do this, unless you see that your coolant temp sensor on your dash either goes totally hot all the time, or it never moves at all.

Cam differences
Hey guys, so i am finally re-assembling my motor and i come to find out that one of my camshafts is sheared, i sourced a different one and i'm wondering if anyone would know the differences if there are any between them. Both the camshafts are the right side intake ones, the only differences i can s...

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...(vid @ last page!)
So evidently whoever assembled my motor last sheared a piece of my cam off during installation (cough...dave bush...cough) I found a replacement one but it says HF on it instead of FF, and both cams are the right hand side intake ones. wondering if i will run into problems using it? i can see fuel d...

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...(vid @ last page!)
Thanks!
So i guess i just blew a headgasket finally, im not sure if the ones that were on the car were custom but i just checked my coolant tanks and it looked like shmoo, which is gross.... mix of oil and coolant without a doubt.
Hopefully the process will be relatively painless!

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...(vid @ last page!)
Thanks man! So, I haven't been on here in awhile but i wanted to ask the guys that know more than me if there is a correlation between lower temperatures and loss of compression? As it has gotten colder outside, i have lost at least one cylinder... so i am driving around again on either one or two c...

Re: ignition gremlins
so there was this solenoid looking thing that was where the clicking was coming from and it was a ground that had come off from the inside of the dash metal thing.
my car is all kinds of frankenstein so i was hoping it would have been an OEM thing but i did get it all figured out
thanks josh!

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...
So for some reason my afr gauge and my blitz ebc go into off mode when I turn the car. On all the way.. I believe I plummed all wires up according to the ecu, and I have three wires going into the main sensor ground and I used solder to put them there so maybe its that but I def can't tune with thos...

so my checklist for now before another tune: -wire in all the above sensors and get the following information for my tuner: - clean up wires in my engine bay and fix boost leak in silicon coupler -Wheel and tire size xxx/xx/xx Final drive ratio 3rd gear ratio 4th gear ratio frontal area ft squared (...

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...
So just to get this straight, the one wire coming off of the knock sensor goes to signal and no other location on the AEM (any ecu) correct? My Pinouts for the knock sensor are as follows: Content Pin WireColor Signal (V) Note Ignition SW ON (Engine OFF) Engine ON (Idling) Knock sensor Signal B4 W 2...

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...
i think that for the AIT (air intake temp) sensor, which has two wires on the sensor itself, one must just go to ground and the yellow one must go to the AEM for signal.
B22, 27, and 4 are the locations...

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...
maybe i answered my own question but here is a link to the WRX pinout i use:
http://www.northursalia.com/modificatio ... rxpin.html
-it says there should be two wires for the knock sensor? the ones i see on ebay only have one wire.

Re: Zach's TW of Doom...
got my sensors and stuff, IAT and Knock sensor so i can get my tune perfectified.
not sure how to wire them up though so i will need to find a wrx ecu pinout.
the knock sensor was only one wire? is that bad? are they usually like that?
