What kind of SAAB intercooler did you get? Do you know how well it works? What it is rated to?

Well guys, here's my update to the G-Box situation. I emailed the guy and talked to him and he's going to send me a refund. He appologized that he didn't know that the older subaru's didn't have an IAT sensor and is frustrated cause now he has to update his ebay bids. Well I dunno if it is a scam or...

Hey no problem at all. I'm not worried about it. After I read about the difference between the MAP and the MAF setup I realized that my car probably didn't have an IAT sensor.

Thanks for checking it out though.

clutch question

Ok, my car does something I find a little odd, but then again my last subaru was an 87 GL-10 with a cable clutch. :) Here's what it does (could it be part of abs?? although I find it unlikely): Sometimes if brake a little on the hard side and I put the clutch in it doesn't disengage until close to t...

You realize Josh that if the early gen legacy's don't have an Intake temp sensor then I don't even have an option to try this little thingy. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention, I have an intercooler from a 87 t-bird. I got it off ebay and it will fit I think, but the only problem is that the holes (inlet and outlet) I are both a little small I think. Trying to adapt my be a little tough. The fit would be pretty tight though. Have you guys needed to...

hmm, I looked at it and it doesn't appear that they work for the turbo. The one you run might, it didn't say spacifically. Anyway, there is actually more information on the chip thing I bought on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1868595323 I guess I could alway...

Any thoughts on wrx intercoolers

I would highly recommend getting an intercooler before boost is raised past 10 psi or so. It might not be too bad for the engine, but its nice to have it there so that you really dont have to worry about detonation. A nice simple 93-96 WRX air-air intercooler should fit relatively easy (at least co...

Yeah that's what I've been reading. :)

What do you know of as far as the installation for a 2000+ intercooler, similar to ones going up for sale on ebay these days? Will they fit ok? Would it work better if I welded shut the y and opened it up on the side?

eventualy yes i will up my boost to around 13, but it may be a little while I'm currently looking for a good intercooler, probably gong with an air to air for ease of installation (no water pump). But I also got to wait for money on that one. I just got hte car this year and have a lot of mods in my...

do they sell chips for my car? I've heard that they don't. I had figured I'd try it and if it had some bad results I'd just take the little mod off, but we'll see. Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it.

IAT and the Next Level G-Box

Hey Guys, I just bought a NL (Next Level) module off of ebay. It isn't one of those resistor scams that you see there all the time, but I honestly don't know much about this unit. The sight that the company has recently come online to is http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/nextlevel/ Does anyone know anyth...
