If people just put their location into the title of the sale ad, as some do, then it would be a lot easier. Not to mention putting it into their profile. I only see 10-20 new ads a week here, which is pretty easy to navigate compared to say craigslist. Also, the last post before yours was 3 years ago.

Basically he's asking Nada's trade-in pricing. Still a good deal for a private-buyer, though.

Airgne, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was getting further and further towards the front (as far as meeting people goes) each stop. What was weird was that the driver of the truck (I caught up with him since he stopped at that closed ice cream stand further up the road) didn't "seem"...

The driver and passenger were released from the hospital last I heard. Both had x-rays, and passenger got a few stitches.

The Subaru chassis surely protected them from much worse harm. Heard the car would also start right up. ;)

Well I finally went to my first drive. It was a really beautiful trip with excellent and sometimes challenging roads; the whole thing was a blast except for the lead vehicle wrecking when we were nearly to our destination. We had made countless stops and other than people burning some oil and one gu...

A TW? with an impressive engine swap. ;) Even if it's really just stock, it only has 114k miles.

The second size is what I'm using for snow tires on my Forester. I tried using them on my legacy (the 96) but they rubbed in the rears something fierce.

Do you leave your headlights on all the time on your DD? I think that's why some only get a year. That's what I love about my Subarus' head lights - set and forget. I liked the color better on the Silverstars but it wasn't worth 3x for the privilege.

On my last few postings for craigslist, I included tags with intentional mis-spellings at the bottom just for those types. Toyta, Surabu, engne, etc. ;)

Know what you mean about taking over someone's project - my experience showed me that it usually costs more in the end than buying a stocker.

That's a good deal, I think I got them at walmart for $36. The long lasting ones were $12, though.

Mt. St. Helens drive

Hey looks like I'll be able to go. I haven't started tearing down the SS engine yet, so it's either my 2nd gen Legacy or my Forester. Finally get to meet some LC'ers I hope.

Read the back cover of the package: they rate the output for the Silverstars at 100% intensity (ie. new) and compare against the others running at 80%. Kinda shiesty if you ask me. I had them in my Corolla and they lasted 1 year (I had DRL), died within a day of each other. Next set, almost exactly ...

There is about 7 casino's along Aurora in N. Seattle/Shoreline area, not as big as Tulalip, but they're much closer to you. Club Hollywood Casino, Goldies Casino, the Golden Nugget, Red Dragon, etc. Also I think Shoreline is quite a bit cheaper than Kenmore. I commute from Shoreline to Bothell (furt...

I got my Felpro's at Autozone, they were special order, which took 3 days. My friend who worked at a Subaru dealership said they never saw anyone with these aftermarket gaskets come in blown. Course someone could easily fail to follow the torquing procedures... I think they were under $50 when deale...

I keep seeing these on wrecked legacy's from Canada and Alaska - connected to them is the block & battery heaters.

The ones I've seen had the outlet lower in the car, below the radiator.

tomoroow im goi ng in junkyard around here and check if i can find some what do i need to do to remove it! what else need to be take off? The rear diff needs to be matched (gear ratio-wise) to the transmission. A working vlsd would provide you with better traction on slippery surfaces. To test if i...

Well you know more about the specifics of the transmissions than I do. I do know: 1991-1994 Legacy SS & Touring wagons had 3.9 rear diffs. On both autos and manuals. The non turbos had 4.xxx. Only the 1991 turbos came factory with a vlsd, so the 1992-94 open ones would be cheaper. My old 1998 Im...
