I figured there would be a few headaches here and there with these cars, but nothing TOO intense. It sounds like if you keep up on the maintenance (which I plan on doing and the previous owner definitely did) and don't bash the car around, they can last quite awhile. Apex, I actually took a look at ...

No, you're right about that. My point was that maybe something with the turbo was damaged somewhere along the way and it's now blowing hotter air at any given PSI.

Lot's of maybes, but: maybe your turbo or the oil and/or coolant lines going to the turbo were slightly damaged, causing it to blow hotter air at higher PSI readings.

Haha it may just be that my friend with an STi is a shit house driver then, because I definitely pulled on him. That said, if I chip this car it would DEFINITELY kill any stock STi. I'm just happy because I couldn't even touch STi's before.

Yeah, I'm still unsure as to whether I should keep the biturbo design with K04's instead or if I should go to something like a GT28 or GT30. Guess I'll just have to do more searching. FYI, people on Audi/VW forums are douchey hahaha. It's like frickin' NASIOC x's 1000. I haven't posted anything on a...

Hahaha thanks for the words of caution! I've been reading up on all of the Audi/S4 forums out there. Turbos on these things seem to go fairly easily. Though my car has over 100,000 miles, it was driven by one, 70 year-old owner. He said he was always easy on it (taken somewhat lightly, of course) an...

Sorry about not mentioning the A/C deal, guys. I didn't even think about that being an issue haha, we never use A/C in the PNW.

To be perfectly honest, my uncle wants to sell his 2001 Audi S4 Quattro and I would LOVE to have that. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely loved this car and it's been my baby for the past 5 years, but I want something newer and classier. I'd like to hold on to it, but I can't afford to do that AN...

Yeah, IF I ever parted it out, I would be asking for the stock pieces (i.e. swapping parts with the buyer), because I promised myself that I would never destroy one of these cars or leave one in pieces. They're pretty rare and it's even harder to find one that's in decent running condition AND looks...

I just did the math and there's over $7,500 worth in parts alone. That doesn't include what I paid for the car and the engine swap.

To be honest, I think the pictures give it more credit than it deserves. There are some dents here and there, and the scoop isn't molded in as well as it could be. The paint is fresh, but it was done at Maaco. It's not showing any signs of chipping. There is, however, some old paint showing because ...

You guys honestly think I can get $3500 or $4000 for it? To be perfectly honest, I wasn't thinking that I would get any more than $3000 for it.... I think I'll start posting it for more elsewhere, but if someone from here buys it, I'll keep it at $3,500, because I love you all and want it to go to a...
