Just a quick piece of advice if you're getting a rebuild. MAKE SURE THEY GIVE YOU A WARRANTY. I had my old SS 4eat rebuilt by aamco, at a hefty price I might add, six months later it was dead again(destroyed front diff). They barely agreed to rebuild again free under warranty, six months later it ha...

Dirtiest engine bay you've ever seen...

Finally took some engine pics after WRX IC install, it actually fits pretty well... Other crap I did: removed coolant tank, see filler cap on upper hose. (Thanks for the direction vrg3). Mad JDM black Greddy type s. A/C removed completely, 300zx TT fuel filter, cheap little cone filter, ground wires...

Here's a set of tein coilovers, well under 1000, and all you would have to do is change the rear top mounts.

I should be more clear... What i meant to say was that it will help keep the turbo spooled as opposed to no blow-off valve.

Ahh, I didnt know that. I would say go with the WRX (newer), the install isn't THAT bad, especially if the coolant tank is out of the way. Here's a tip, get some washers to lift the back of the hood up, your clutch reservoir will make the IC sit up high(at least mine does), but its not a huge deal.

Try rs liberty forums. We didnt get TTs in N. America so we have no idea what you're talking about. They could probably be of more help to you over there.

Thats definitely not a direct fit. The turbo-> ic pipe is for straight outlet turbos. Maybe if you have a 16g/VF18/12 its a direct fit, but not for a VF11.

It will help keep the turbo spooled during shifts, and sound cool. It will do nothing else.

10+ psi from a VF24 is much more air than from a vf11

The only reason why Subarus have stock top mounts is that there is a perfect place for it due to the shape of the motor. Most all other stock turbo'ed cars use side-mounts or front mounts. The length of the pipe issue is really a non-issue if you stop and think how much air a motor uses, the pipes w...

Well, I'm not really sure I understand what you meant by "mounting an intercooler into the hood" but if you mean just sticking an IC up out of a hole in the hood, then yes a FMIC is definitely better.

ummm... a Carrera GT weighs ~3000lb and has 600+hp, so I'm gonna go ahead a guess he wasnt goin for it. Either that or it was a boxster... with a blown motor... and a ton of bricks in the pass. seat.
